Moyes wants to include McCarthy as part of Kone deal...

Lazy journalism at best, McCarthy was subbed off due to a change in system rather than down to his ability (although I think he'll be on the bench for us alot this season).

We paid £13 million 2 seasons ago so with the hike in prices thanks to the TV deal no way on earth will we let a £15-20 million decent player out on loan or in a swap deal.
depends on how many are years left on his contract.

Jagielka isn't for sale and won't be going anywhere. The prospect of McCarthy leaving Everton is high, he isn't considered a first team CM anymore and Everton are looking to sign another CM by deadline day. There will be no swap deals. Transfer income is counted as revenue and allows clubs to increase their wages beyond FFP restrictions in subsequent years. If there are deals between Everton and Sunderland regarding Kone and McCarthy, then you can expect Everton to pay about 20 million for Kone and Sunderland to pay about 15 million for McCarthy. Don't be surprised if Darron Gibson comes your way as well. Snort all you like, but he is actually a decent player that will improve you.
Gibson should be just finishing a stretch for hit and run, he can get fucked.

18 million plus McCarthy?

No way that will happen, we'd have well and truly had Everton's trousers down if so. McCarthy is worth 12-13 million himself.

Unless we have a CM signing in the offing I just can't see it lads. No way will we go into the season with just 3 CDM's (Besic is out for 6 months) so one injury to Gueye or Barry and we are down to the barebones, and Koeman has spoke massively of wanting a big squad to compete for places/deal with injuries..

Think this is right. I think he'll give him this season to show what he can do and if he doesn't impress then sell next summer. He can cover a few positions and while I don't expect him to be first choice either he's a very useful squad member.

I'd say he's worth more than that.
If it was going to happen (which it won't) a straight swap would be realistic.

Makes the deal a little more palatable. Unfortunately the player has to want to come here.

If we do get McCarthy then I reckon that could spell curtains for the M'vila deal. Moyes will think he has enough in CM to rotate three from McCarthy, Rodwell, Catts and Kirchhoff and after that, even young Gooch showed he could do a job in there if needs must. M'vila is on big wages and can see that cash getting distributed to another more urgent position.

It should be an exciting 10 days but I think we all know what will happen. We won't get anyone decent and and they will most likely be squad players.

who the fuck is going to want to sign for us? especially all that relegation shite after two games, basically letting the world and his wife know we are fucked. great move
