Moyes: This is what I have to say to Sunderland fans who want me sacked

Yes it does.

Regardless of what he says to the press, how does he get his instructions across to the players? Do they have a game of charades to guess the tactics?

When I said 'what he says' I obviously meant what he says to the press / supporters. If he is unable to speak and thus can't talk to the players then obviously that is an issue.

Said it before he got lucky with Tim Cahill he used to get 12 a season from midfield for years he couldn't find a decent striker, there was a period when he got a long term injury I think and he was near the relegation zone for a large period of the season
Absolute numpty - he scouted and signed Cahill, and Cahill says Moyes is the best manager he ever played for.

I guess he also got lucky with John Stones, Pienaar, Coleman, Artera, Lescott, Jagielka, Fellaini, Miralles, Yobo, Weir, Martyn, Bent, etc etc etc

Not to mention he helped bring through Rooney, Rodwell and many more.

I agree with your point but probably not best to mentioned Rodwell when being pro Moyes mate

I'd love to know how many points people did expect us to have by now?

I think it goes without saying that most supporters thought we would have more than 2 by now and at a push at least one win?
Or did you expect us to be 5 points adrift after nine games?

This reminds me of the time Poyet made an open letter to the fans.

I honestly reckon he will leave via mutual agreement next month if results don't improve.

no chance with a 4 year deal

he'll have made an absolute fortune out of us and Man United for failure when he inevitably get's sacked

No, but I certainly didn't think we continue last seasons form into this one. I reckon around 6 points would have been realistic.

By mutual agreement he could strike a deal with Short.

"Shorty, give me a little sweetener and I'll leave quietly"

Why would he leave by mutual consent - he is here to do a job and follow through. It is almost as if some people on here would be happy to hijack the club, for the sake of a weird vendetta against Moyes. Or perhaps they are stirring the pot for other reasons...

And this rubbish about him being here to feather his own nest - do you know anything about his character? He purely wants to he as good a manager as he can be. He could have left Everton years before he did, but wanted to make the right move.

Again though mate it isn't just the points, how many times have we been on the pitch this season looking like we don't have a clue how to attack or defend. He has tried a number of different set ups and none of them have looked balanced, none have worked either

I understand some supporters want to stick with the same manager for a decent period of time but is there a tipping point or do we just stick with someone even if we are shite

I think if you have someone who has a proven track record of success it makes sense to give them time to sort things out. He has a very good reputation as a defensive coach and as a spotter of talent.

With any big organisation it takes time to implement change. It used to be managers were given at least a season, it seems now every club is as bad as the Serie A basketcases who bin a manager after a few games

How long ago was all of that though. In the here and now he has shown nowt. I have Bern as critical as most and I would love to be proved wrong but we are losing games and you can't say the opposition has been great as well.

John Stones was only a few years ago. I wonder if that Alfie Mawson lad turns out to be a good player...

Thing is though, it takes work to set up a good scouting network, and I'm worried how serious the club will be in implementing change. He has not even been able to bring in his own assistant manager ffs

We probably lost some momentum when Sam left and I was the same as most on here, hoping Moyes could continue it somehow but he has had key members of that team out injured.

Those "key members" are invariably injured and can therefore NEVER be relied upon

I have a feeling he would have started with M'Vila and without McNair, Love, Djilobodji et al. That would have been good enough for me. I think that Kaboul would maybe still be here, too. And after seeing what he had to offer in the Euros, would he have let Giaccarini go for almost nowt? F*cking hell, he was one of the players of the tournament and we all but gave him away. He was better than that f*cker up the road, that's for sure.

Since I doubt moyes had any say in the price for giacc and he did not play Sam's style at all I imagine that would be the same.

I think we would have signed mvilla, possibly yedlin as well
