Moyes: This is what I have to say to Sunderland fans who want me sacked

at times at West Ham we started to look ok and strung a few passes together. The final result and the sucker punch of a goal we conceeded have clouded the performance a little.

I've heard a few say this which speaks volumes about how bad he has been.
We had a couple of short spells where we weren't trying to emulate the Alamo and people are desperately trying to put a positive spin on it.
We should have been dead and buried by half time frankly, that people are using this game as a sign of improvement is so sad, we fully deserved to lose.

But the worst thing about that game, easily the worst!
Is that during our second decent spell when they started to get nervous towards the end, the ginger bell made the subs that handed the initiative back to them and directly led to the sitting back and eventually conceding.

As I said in another thread, please point out one SINGLE positive he has brought to the club so far???

“I have to earn their support and at the moment, I could understand they didn’t see that because of our results.

“When I came here, I did not expect it to be an awful lot different although obviously, I hoped it would be.

“I can only tell them that we’re doing everything possible to get there and I’ll keep doing it until told differently”

Hard to accept he means those words unless someone can inadvertently post them on twitter, with a prompt of course.

Here is more stuff from Dave

I knew it would be difficult coming here. I came to club which for the first time in a long time could see a chink of light, a bit of positivity after the end of last season. But with my dour miserable demeanour I immediately knew I would spread a dark cloud over the club. I knew that everyones spirits would be dampened, with my constant negativity.

I inherited a team playing quite well at the end of last season, good results and playing some good football. It was patently obvious I just had to add a couple of quality additions. I knew it would be difficult because I was not going to do that. Instead I signed 2 people from my old club who are clearly not good enough. I also signed a defender who is a walking calamity for £8m, whose was only worth £3m until his 120 second worth of action for Chelsea. I also spent £14 m on a kid no one has heard of but some one said was OK abroad. I stilll dont know if he is any good.

I wasnt done there. I set up a scouting network to scour the globe for the best talent available. I then went back to my old club to get a midfielder who used to be OK but his legs have gone. I then went back to my old club to get an arrogant piece of shit who is all fart and no shite and whos head is far to big for this club, despite failing at every club he has been at. I then went back to my old club to sign a stiker who has scored 1 goal in 893 appearances. All of this mean I still have to play Jack Rodwell (from my old club) who is utter chod and has not won a game in 3 and a half years.

Added to this I knew I could always make some substitution to make it more difficult. Whenever we miraculously are in a position to get something out of a game I knew I could make some ridiculous changes to the line up to ensure we dont.

Nobody knew it would be this difficult, but then again nobody really knew how utterly incompetent I am. But I did, just look at my past 2 jobs. It is for this reason I knew it would be difficult.

Thans Dave, a much more honest assessment.

I needn't bother commenting any more on the Moyes situation - this sums up my thoughts to a tee.

Of all clubs in our position we know the situation and what is required.

We are all in it together Owner, Manager, players and supporters.

Lets get behind the team.

We always get behind the team.

We are the only constant.

I

Basically though we need to keep doing our part. All we can do is create an atmosphere and hope the players respond.

Not this tired shite again.

Been there - still doing that.

We need a little encouragement though

Blokes covered his back from day one with his "well it's Sunderland and they have been fighting relegation every season, what do you expect?". Well twat, we expect you to earn your money and make it better you f***ing prat. 30mil spent and taken us backwards and playing absolutely f***ing dire football. We had hope at the end of least season and we played some canny stuff at times. We had something to build on.

YOU have sucked out all of that positivity we all had and turned the team into a f***ing joke again.

BSA isn't the miracle worker some on here think he is, but he was better than f***ing Moyes has been. I'd put money on us having more points and a better team had BSA not been whisked away for the England debacle. Bring him back and at least try get us to survive till January where he can work his magic with signings.

Yes, yes that's exactly what he did. He deliberately weakened us, and with those that were left he has done his very best to drain their confidence. And that's what he promised Short he'd do during his interview.
He's been that bad you could almost be forgiven for thinking that.
30m wasted on shit, bad subs costing us points, awful football etc etc.
I've never disliked a manager more than I do Moyes.

Can I only give you one like??!
Sums up what I and most other normal fans think.

Never known a bunch of fans to focus so much on what a manager says to the press

Literally everything he says at the moment is being over analysed on here at the moment because we are doing so poorly

Correct. Its embarrassing. When it was before the season started/just into it the same crack was being lapped up, tells it like it is etc.

You not think he could chose he words a bit better sometimes? I agree this board in the main are picking up on everything at the moment and either spinning it positive or negative depending on each persons stance but DM isn't helping himself

Said it before he got lucky with Tim Cahill he used to get 12 a season from midfield for years he couldn't find a decent striker, there was a period when he got a long term injury I think and he was near the relegation zone for a large period of the season

I really couldnt care less what a manager says to the press mate. It makes zero difference.
