Moyes on scouting trip

So just to clarify we want younger players that we can improve and make a profit on (as we're not generating enough money) but we don't want Moyes scouting any young up and coming talents??? And before any smart arse replies moyes doesn't pick the Falkirk side so had no idea he wasn't playing (which means nothing as he could of picked up a knock/niggle in the warm up)

So just to clarify, maybe our manager should be putting all his time and effort in trying to keep us up this season in order for the club to avoid losing circa £65M rather than (er not) scouting some 17 year old kid who is going to do nothing to help us achieve that goal :)

The Falkirk manager said that the lad had offers before but he was still at Falkirk because his parents wanted him to develop and the next move, which was inevitable, would have to be the right one.

How can anyone justify looking at signings for the future when theres no money to spend and a threadbare shit show of a current first team sitting bottom of the league:confused:

People slating pva yet a 17 year old from the jock league is the answer?

Its donald love mkII another cheap desperation signing conveniently labelled as "one for the future".

Disagree, we have to start getting high rated younguns at 750k right now to get off this merry-go-round.

I think that we haven't done enough of this sort of thing down the years.

Taking a chance on throwing say £250k - £1m on lower league or Scottish/Irish league youngsters with potential to make the grade in 1 - 3 years time.

We do seem to be linked to these type of players but whilst we are deciding other teams come in to sign them up.

I know that any signing is a risk but look at the mess we have got ourselves into signing overrated & overpaid players.

We need players who are eager to prove themselves instead of those who are more interested in taking the money & putting in very little effort.

We would no doubt have to sell on any player who catches the eye of the big teams but in order to do that he will have been playing well for us for a while.

It is a hit & miss affair but it could really help with our finances in the future.

I don't think anyone's suggesting that.

Edit: I've just seen who I was replying to. Ignore this. Carry on.

If we're struggling in the Championship and the dwindling crowd is chanting Moyes out he won't be sacked?

Dream on.
I can 100% guarantee that that scenario won't occur in the next few months.

So our manager is at a game scouting a left back when our first choice lb is on the verge of leaving. Is that really who he should be looking at given where we are because a lot of people are defending it?
