Moyes: I sympathise with the fans

As the manager though he shouldn't be shouting about it in the media from the start of the season. He's whined since he arrived man

Maybe he's just royally fucked off with Short. We'll likely never know. Either way we looked fucked

Fairy nuff marra. I don't care about interviews as I don't think they make any difference. I also doubt players care either. However it seems others do care about them, very much as well (which surprised me a bit tbh).

He can talk as negitive or positive as he wants but talk is cheap. He needs to put up or shut up.

I'd rather not be empathised with and he starts winning games

I can't see it though as the bloke doesn't have a clue how to manager a football team

Correct.

Ask anyone outside of Sunderland where they would expect us to be. Theyd all say in a relegation scrap. In the same at we would all say we expect to see the likes of City challenging at the top.
Where would you expect west brom and stoke to be, out of interest?

Someone just posted the players from the squad who lost 1 in 12 that are no longer here. At least 7 of them out or gone.

We can't keep comparing this squad and last season's and saying they're the same. Its just bullshit.
When Moyes took over there was 9 of that team still at the club. They were all fit and playing in preseason. He could have signed the other 2 but did not.

Instead he decided to get 10 new players in who were not fit for purpose

He over saw the vast majority of preseason and reduced the quality at the club.

He had us down for relegation at the start.

I wanted him as manager and I have always backed everyone in charge but Moyes has broke that habit with me. He has got hardly anything right and most things very wrong

Came in late - half of pre-season gone.

N'dong could well turn out to be good signing - we are missing his omnipresence in midfield now.

Love is a decent full back, young and will develop - same with McNair

Jury still out on Djilobodji - he needs a steadying, wiser player alongside him.

Anichebe has been more than useful given the impossibility of finding a strike partner for Defoe

Manquillo ? - perhaps we spell the first letter of his name wrongly - it's upside down;)

Compare to BSA's

Lady N'Doye was really lame.

Khazri contributed a couple of vital goals but has been rank this year - along with Borini.

Kone and Kaboul were central to our survival in the run in last year - now, one has gone and the other is not all there.

Kirchhoff has been a big miss - but the guy is made of glass.

We have run into an enormous amount of problems coupled with our chronic poor financial situation in a season when the competition is even more fierce. Too many obstacles have been put in Moyes' way to be able to judge him fairly. His track record suggests that we should give him a break and let him show his true worth in the championship rebuild that almost inevitably awaits us. The hysterical anti-moyes brigade could at least come up with some constructive alternatives - but there aren't any really - water into wine only happens in the bible.
Are you David Moyes?

No - just a fair-minded fan who tries to be objective and waits in vain for constructive comments from the Moyes-haters. So easy to blame one man for injury crisis and 10 years of mis-management.

I blame him for the shambles what has been put on show this season.

Any animated gifs of that minute?

First half against ManUtd- press said we were the better team - against Watford some very nice touches - gave Liverpool a run for their money at the Sol.

Pickford injury and ACON have just put the icing on the shit cake we have been eating since June.

So why on earth should we "expect" sunderland to be where we are, but you expect those clubs to be mid table?

Tony Pulis has never finished below 14th in the premier league.
Because west brom have only finished in the bottom 6 of the premier league once since their return to the top flight since 2010. And have finished as high as 8th.

Stoke have never finished below 14th and have never been higher than 9th.

Sunderland have failed to get 40 points 4 seasons in a row and have been in a relegation fight for the past 5 seasons.

Not many surprises there mate

There's no reason why we shouldn't be able to match those clubs, the only thing stopping us is poor management.

It's absolute horse shite to say sunderland should expect to be in the bottom 3 regardless of who is in charge. It was Moyes' job to ensure we could match those clubs and he's failed miserably. Anyway, you being a mag, I'd expect you to say what you said, obviously with an ulterior motive.

Not at all. Well run clubs who appoint the right people.
Southampton were in the 3rd division in 2010/11. But with the right people running things, making the right appointments at the right time they've went up a level every time, with every appointment. Swansea done the same from sousa, to martinez, to rodgers, laudrup, monk etc. They even won a trophy.

I fully expect us to be in a relegation battle every year

Behind Burnley and f***ing Bournemouth

He's a loser
This is ridiculous. A real superiority complex because historically we are 'bigger' than these types of clubs. They are well-run clubs, with stability and continuity off the pitch and on it, so yes, currently I would definitely expect our circus of a club to be behind those two.

So if some of our fans, and even Moyes himself say they expected sunderland to be where they are at this point in season, they must be admitting he is the wrong appointment as he hasn't moved us up a level at all. In fact, he has moved us down a number of levels from our form during the second half of last season.

I'm not content, the club I love is floundering around making no progress for years and swimming in debt. And I'm watching clubs like those you mentioned come up and surpass us. What I'm saying is, we are a mess. Those clubs aren't. But we are too 'big' (whatever that means) to be lower than them in the league.

I'd say the problems don't lie with the manager as much as people think. Fat Sham had 30 games and managed 17th place.
People might want better, and I'd find it odd if they didn't, but looking at previous form it's not a surprise to see Sunderland where they are. O'Neill, Di Canio, Poyet, Advocaat, Allardyce, Moyes. What's the one thread that binds them together?

I must have dreamt about Kaboul, M'vila and Yedlin leaving, as well as the squad being decimated by long term injuries to...

Mannone
Pickford
Jones
Watmore
Larsson
Catts
Kirchoff
Anichebe.

On top of that, he loses 3 players to the ACON.
He had the chance to resign Mvilla and Yedlin and chose to buy shite. Are you conveniently forgetting all the results in the first nine games FFS
