Moyes: I sympathise with the fans

Lot of people on here would be rather upset if come May Moyes keeps us up. He's been kicked to fuck this week for saying what plenty of our fans do, just screams of agenda on here tbh.
That said it does look like the players have stopped fighting for him and if thats the case we are fucked, not just Moyes.

Its not just our fans, other managers have done the exact same in the media without being as heavily criticised. Maybe because those other managers were more charismatic than Moyes...

Di Canio, Poyet, Allardyce to name a few

It wasn't winning games. It's why despite only losing three times in nineteen games we survived with only a game to spare.

Two of those players were also not ours. Another forced a move. And three have been injured for pretty much all of the season.
If you cant win draw, how many have we drew ? those 2 players wanted to come here, again he should have been stronger instead of being a "yes" man, the worse start in PL history, that takes some doing.

Moyes the MLF

Moyessive

You said he inherited a team winning games, so we agree that was incorrect.

I agree with you on the if you can't win draw mind. We need to be harder to beat. Although the amount of times Allardyce threw away games from a winning position had the natives rather restless for the most part.

Our fans seem obsessed with characters and charisma, even if it's just bull and bluster.

3 wins, 5 draws 2 defeats, to 2 draws 8 defeats.

Course that's a fair assessment. Despite the clown that get on here thinking he doesn't know or care, he k it's the reality of the situation. Anyone with half a brain can see his hands are tied. I've said it a million times. If he had the best 11 we have each and every week. No Injuries hen we would be more than safe. Big influential players have been missing for massive parts of the season. The young lads he has bought would have only played bit parts and been blooded in properly unfortunately they were thrown in at the deep end and written off by the experts of the SMB. I'm sure he looked at our team that finished last season and thought he'd have that to work with so could afford to buy for the future making small changes and improvements over the coming seasons. I actually feel sorry for him.

Really Chunky, with the squad in this state and given the competitiveness of the Premier, what else can you expect?
I thought "shit - that's it" - the moment BSA got the call.

Moyes has been dealt a shite hand - we can't judge fairly. Look at Palace with their £30 m centre forward & French international midfielder. There are no bad teams to save us.

Who could do better with this squad?
He bought incredibly badly. And has had us down since the first week of the season

He didn't. He said he expected a relegation battle. Why wouldn't he? We have been in one every season for God knows how long.

Would you randomly expect City to not be in the hunt for the trophies, despite being in the hunt for a good few seasons on the spin?

Since the new year under allardyce W6 D9 L4.
But in December under allardyce Sunderland lost 5 out of 5.
The way some people wanna lambast Moyes on here is sad. Allardyce is held up by some as some footballing deity, but things weren't that much better in reality. Finished 17th, which is hardly progress.
4 year in a row Sunderland have finished with less than 40 points so what do you antiMoyes lads really expect Moyes to do?

Yep, if he walks now all those labelling him that tight now will change their tune.

However, if that's your opinion then he is putting us before himself. Rather decent of him.

And who could argue?

But it's his job to put that right, or at least make an attempt to make us less shite.

We've been poor in recent years and Moyes is making us worse. The performances in the last 3/4 matches have been miles worse than anything BSA or Poyet served up.

Maybe he's not a quitter.

This. We're all sitting here saying "it's shit that if Moyes did go there's no great managers out there for us to take". Maybe Moyes agrees, he might think, shit as it is at present, that he's the best man to sort us out. He might partly base that on the fact we're still well in touch despite all the injuries and the ACON. If he thinks he can sort the club out (even if it might involve a relegation) then I can see why he isn't leaving. Equally if Short is giving him less than promised then he might well think "fuck walking away and losing a payoff, I wouldn't be in this situation if the owner had stuck to his word".

It is shite mind, and if the players aren't playing for him we need to do something drastic. What a f***ing awful season
