Mowbrays thoughts on the game

Genuinely think the players have lost faith in him. They don’t seem to have a clue how they are being selected and set up to play. Seems ad hoc from the ko

No problem with any of that, he's giving an honest opinion which is pretty much what I'm seeing too. We've had managers in the past that tell us it was good when it obviously wasn't.

Some people on here need to pick their toys up, like him or not, there's no need to go on like kids. We've had a good run since TM came in and now we're having a bad spell - all teams have bad spells. Stamping your feet and demanding a change is not looking at the bigger picture and if you get your way now, you'll be doing it next year with the new man. Let's show some patience for once, things can soon change.
The thing is, I don’t think he knows how to get us out of this latest bad spell. He rotates the team every week playing players out of position, bizarre subs (3 or 4 at a time) and the same tactics which haven’t worked for a while.

I like the bloke and will always be fond of him for last season and have defended him up to the Huddersfield game but after watching us on Wednesday night and yesterday, it’s seriously regressed and gone stale, time to change it up, whether that’s him tactically tweaking it (which I highly doubt he can do) or the board binning him. At the moment it’s the latter for me.

It’s brilliant he keeps saying that as some sort of a achievement

He does realise part of teams gameplan is to let us have it then counter when we lose it 😂😂

He cares about it that much, he's based our tactics around it. Shame the penny hasn't dropped that it's not the most important stat. For him to keep on saying it after games tells me he still thinks it'll work at some point...I think otherwise.

It's hard to disagree with your points, but I don't necessarily think it's a lost cause. It feels like everything is broken at the minute, but we're not that far from being a good team, we used to be a good team just a few short weeks ago (Albeit, with some flaws.) I think we have been found out to an extent and we do need to change things a bit, but I don't think that's impossible.

If we were to get Amad back for example, that could be the spark that we need. It might get Roberts playing again and goals might start flowing. Evans returning might shore up the midfield and stop us getting caught on the break as often. The defenders might work out how to defend corners. I know all ifs, but it isn't going to take much, we're in every game, nobody batters us.

We also need to consider, will Amad want to come if Uncle Tony isn't here ? Will Clarke want to stay ? Both are on record saying how much they like playing for him. I'm sure there are others too.

I agree that TM has some shortcomings but so will the next bloke, we're highly unlikely to find a perfect replacement. I know we can't go on indefinitely in this relegation form, but I think it's too early to pull the trigger just yet.
