Mowbrays thoughts on the game

Obviously very frustrated with clubs transfer policy of mainly going for youth.

One promotion in his long managerial career with WBA iirc ?
He’s not getting much from Rusyn 25 or Dack who’s 30ish either.
Also not selecting Pritchard so he shouldn’t be that frustrated.
Did he sell Baath? And it’s clear his ‘brief’ is to develop the likes of Jobe who may not start most games elsewhere ahead of Pritch or Dack. Its spot on what he said- the younger players need more time to develop than football has patience. They need experienced leadership and guidance. Not much but some. We won’t go up this year with squad balance as it is whoever is in charge.
Doesn’t stack up. If they need the guidance on the pitch he should be getting one of those in the team.

We look like we’ve stood still at best. Defensively worse imo.

I like Mowbray and can’t quite believe some fans want him gone. Look at where we are now to a couple of seasons ago. Keep the faith

Don’t you see that Jobe is a club project ? The club are thinking young, invest, develop, sell for profit, more in the pot, incrementally increase quality, more up. We’re just thinking win the league. The head coach takes the hits while the decision makers stand at the back.

Aye of course. Are you saying Jobe can’t play in an 11 that has Pritchard or Dack in it?

Mowbray is a great bloke, don’t think he’s a great manager.

He’s always mentioned the reason he doesn’t play up to the fans is that one day they will be on his back.

After years of awful football, we’ve seen some of the best the past couple of years.

Sadly it looks like he doesn’t know how to put things right.

He hasn’t lost the dressing room, plenty effort, the system, selection, and subs are just not working.

Thanks for steadying the ship, looks like your time is up, will always get a clap from me for his efforts.

Where we are now could be so much better though with a decent manager in charge.

We have a good team a team capable of a top 6 finish, but we're going to be nowhere near that if we leave this bloke in charge.

I said it when he was appointed, he's never achieved anything of note in a 20yr career, so why did we expect it to be any different.

He's a nice bloke, but shouldn't be in charge of us for another day. Just hope speakman and kld are busy scouring Europe finding a decent replacement.

One point out of nine versus Plymouth, Huddersfield and Millwall is absolutely pathetic as are his pre and post match interviews. He’s absolutely lost and clinging on giving people false hope.

If he’s unhappy with our transfer policy etc he needs to man up and say so and clarify what he thinks he needs to succeed.

Clap, clap, clap…..
Dont forget 60 minutes against 10 man Swansea

Well don't sell Baath and pick Pritchard for a start
Yeah Pritchard improved us massively when he came on yesterday, as he nearly always does - he just seems to have more nous than others.
I’d be inclined to offer him another year tbh

Couldn’t play against 10 men, couldn’t play with 10 men.

We struggle to defend solidly with 11, little wonder Boro obliterated us with 10. Seems Mogga is now coaching Seelt how to be a right back

Sounds like he’s laying out the excuses for when he eventually gets the push. I totally agree with his comments that when we went to 1-1 we should have been going all out for the win. Players backed off if anything. If he does go it’s a shame as we have played some fantastic football for the majority of his time here.

Can't be arsed to listen to him now like .
He's not a good technically minded coach.
It's plan a or nowt sick to death of him playing roulette with the subs.
Most successful managers know their best 11 and stick to it mainly .
This man is constantly making 3 changes pre match and numerous during the game .
Remember Johnson getting slated for triple subs .
Tony does it every single game nearly .
That tells me he's a man who does really know what to do .
Your time is up m8
Let’s get someone young and trendy in. Like we did with Lee Johnson

With the “model” we were always going to come to this point.
I think the hierarchy will have had something like a 5 year plan to get us to the premier league and that would have included at least a couple of years of consolidation in the championship.
The thing is especially after probably over achieving last season when the fans would accept consolidation mid table is probably not going to be accepted from now on even allowing for us being such a young team.
It’s going to be a testing time for the owners and the fans coming up.
