thinking of moving my broadband and getting bt infinity cant get a definate answer off either bt or who im with now

has anybody moved between broadband providers before and kept there email addresses they had

i know a couple of lads who moved from aol to 02 and kept theres

id prefer to keep mine if possible

I cancelled sky years ago but my email account is still active, a lot of providers don't bother cancelling them but the problem is you can't guarantee it and they could disable it at any time.

If I were you I'd take the hit and set up a web mail account which is ISP independent (such as gmail), that way you'll not have to worry about it again in the future.

Yep, a service like Gmail is the way to go. Don't saddle yourself with an email account from your ISP for this very reason.

How do you find out who is the best provider for where you live like?

Google samknows mate.

Stick in your post code and it'll tell u what speeds are available from your exchange and who has LLU's on it

Cheers mate, when I moved in with our lass she's got talk talk and I reckon I'm gettin throttled back (over the download limit).

So it looks like Sky would be a good shout and cheaper too!

have any of you used the new fibre optic brand from bt or know of anyone who has got it

I will never go back to BT, there throttling is a joke and they have the neck to charge top wack for it.

Leave an open jar half filled with rice out overnight. In the morning, your WiFi will have been absorbed into the rice, ready to be moved. When you get to your new place, simply leave the jar in an airing cupboard, or else in an open oven set to Gas Mark 1.

Kneed for 5 mins then rest for 20, and use that time to visit rightmove and find houses within virgin cabled areas :)

i have BT Infinity here in Durham City.

bought the full package - 40mb download speed - unlimited downloads - line rental - free landline calls anytime anyday to other landlines.

been with BT for 5 years now and never been let down.

the download speeds mean i can copy a movie in a couple of hours, mainly with great speeds after midnight.
