Striker
He's shite basically. He needs to be though. He isn't a skillful forward with tricks. He has power and a frame to use. Needs to apply it, become a nasty bastard. To easy to play against at the moment.

ThisI think he's better with the ball at his feet running at people than with a defender at his back laying it off.
Seen much of him have you? He's not even worth half of that. I'll be very disappointed if we get him for that kind of money.
There are better, younger strikers we could get for 13m. I sometimes think people on here just buzz over any potential signing of a known name and don't actually think weather it's good business or not.
Yes Sow is definitely an improvement on what we have but he's still nothing special. It will be good if we get him for 5-6m but no more.
But Carroll uses his frame, power and aggression to be a target man. It's a different way of playing. No it doesn't. Means he needs to be more aggressive in how he plays, was the point I was making. Never said anything about him being a "target" man.
5-6m? No chance of signing a player of sows calibre for that unless he's in last year of his contract. Between 8m and 10m is a fair price in today's market. 13m is a bit too much considering his age and he hasn't proved himself in one of the big 3 leagues. He's not even worth half of that. I'll be very disappointed if we get him for that kind of money.

13m euros appears to be the release clause figure and there is speculation they'd sell at 8m euro. At that price it'd be tricky to get an experienced goal scorer with a similar track record. I'd imagine there would be some competition for him though. As I said earlier Daryl Murphy is rated in the 4.5 m class in the championship! Someone said Sow is in his final year but I'm not sure if that's true.5-6m? No chance of signing a player of sows calibre for that unless he's in last year of his contract. Also needs to play with his head up more. His decision making is woeful at times. Not sure if he has a footballing brain tbh.He needs to be though. He isn't a skillful forward with tricks. That's his main weakness. He should have progressed with the amount of game time he has had but it hasn't.
Our best player? f***ing hell man.Wickham's our best player, gets judged incredibly unfairly. He's a young lad but he is learning how to win free kicks more often than giving them away.
Unreal that we have a English player at his age and potential tied to a long term contract and the majority want shot.
Aye a know mate. I'm not saying Wickham should be a target man. He needs more aggression to his game, to want to attack the ball more, give defenders a hard time and just want it more. Just because I think he lacks desire, grit and determination, that Carroll has in abundance, doesn't mean I want him to be a target man like Carroll. More that with how Wickham plays now, with that aggression, he would be so much more. But Carroll uses his frame, power and aggression to be a target man. It's a different way of playing.
I disagree. No one would pay 10m on a 30 year old from Turkey on big wages. Cisse went to the mags for much less, being younger.5-6m? When these continuous persist there nearly always something to them. Most: 20870006 said:We've been linked with Sow for the last three seasons, he's not coming to Sunderland at all its just a shit rumour
