Wondered if anyone knows of any decent mountain bike rides in the Durham coalfield area, predominantly off road preferred?

Found a cracker that runs from Ryhope to Hartlepool last week 99% track runs through Seaton, Murton, South Hetton, Haswell, Shotton, Wingate and comes out in Hart Village approx 50 miles return

I don't in that area. However, I need to add I hate cycling in a head on wind.


I realize that this doesn't help you in the slightest.
