I did mate and loved it. I just couldn't get 1 under 5 years old within my budget. I ended up on a 2019 Tiger 1200 with only 750 miles on itdid you test ride the Fatboy..????

Thats the thing, always bikes around to buy, problem is they hold their value well. Works in our favour, but its a two way street.ah well...maybe's sometime in the future

Push the boat a little and get an xt660. Great fun being a single cylinder. Buy a few locks too, as whatever off/on road greenlaner you buy will be desirable for thieves.Looking for a road legal dirt bike 250 -450cc to be used as a cheap commuter and green laning.any recommendations, only want to spend around £2-2500 £3k at an absolute push

Usually fit my own, not to bad just got to watch the rims.Just got some new tyres. If anyone wants to just ride in, no hassle and done in half an hour. National bike tyres in Newton aycliffe. Good bloke as well.
Might be a bit too big. Aye definitely will lockee. In fact I'll probably lock it to my vfr aswell as the anchor. Ive got some nice little surprises for ny wannabe thief. Realistically though if they want it they'll get itPush the boat a little and get an xt660. Great fun being a single cylinder. Or a CRM250AR, rocking horses shit these days, but one of the best green laners ever built. Love a good 2stroke me.CRF250L
I've got one of these. Ultra reliable so can be used as commuter and green lanes without rebuilds etc. Not the lightest mind about 150kg which is heavy after you've picked it up a few timesCRF250L

Luxury.Anyone else all tucked up for the winter? Any winter storage tips?
My Batterys charged, disconnected and in the warm kitchen cupboard for the winter. Tank brimmed to stop the rust, done the fork seals not long ago, changing the oil and the coolant when im off at christmas, fitting my new bike dash cam, viofo mt1. And whatever else i can find to do on it. Ship shop for next spring.
Fair play to you bud. Hard work in the cold. Im a fair weather social rider in the main. Rarely commute, just use the car for that.Luxury.
If I don't ride it I don't get to work.
Cold air provides better combustion. = more poke.Gritters were out for the first time this winter down here so I'll only be out on dry weekends. The Tuono's engine seems to love freezing weather, it feels like it's producing 10HP more but more than likely it's closer to half a HP.
Some people say pump the tyres up above what they should be. Maybe make sure the brake pads aren't touching the discs. The only thing I ever do if I've never ridden a bike for a while is to squirt some 3in1 or similar thin oil onto the fork stanchions and seals before I ride it.
i put a tubular garden heater under mine to stop any condensation. if you're covering it use a breathable one. some folk use acf 50 to stop corrosion but i never bother. just took my batteries off as well and into the house.Anyone else all tucked up for the winter? Any winter storage tips?

New tyres on, trickle charger on. Sorned Oct to Apr. Admire anyone riding in this weather. Even get a bit twitchy in the wet. Wouldn’t dream of frost and snow.Anyone else all tucked up for the winter? Any winter storage tips?

How expensive are they to run? A couple of years ago I used a small space heater to keep my garage warm but even on the lowest setting it made the garage hotter than I wanted. My aim was to keep it a few degrees above the outside temperature. I'm sure it must have cost a few bob to run as well but luckily my missus rarely ventures out to the garage.i put a tubular garden heater under mine to stop any condensation. if you're covering it use a breathable one. some folk use acf 50 to stop corrosion but i never bother. just took my batteries off as well and into the house.
i can't remember an exact cost but i think when i was looking at them it was only a few coppers per day. certainly never had any unusual leccy bills. How expensive are they to run?
