MOTM today

Before I opened the thread I thought Roberts, but I think that my opinion was tainted by the ‘most improved’ factor.

Having seen the OP I agree, Ballard was excellent today.

Huggins for me ....the lad has pace and going forward can take the attention away from the wingers making them space..........if he stays injury free and improving we are going to make a huge profit from him...fekk me ive been drinking the KLD Kool-Aid !! ;) and its starting to take effect ,ill be reading the wall street journal next or tapping up GOM for investment opportunities.

“How GOM, av just found one pund fifty in me pocket, should a buy a packet of pork scratching or a packet of nuts?”

Ballard was excellent, but could have quite easily gone when he walloped Maja from behind. Thought Ekwah was excellent today, but just Ballard for me.
Mad how different people see the game, I thought Ekwah was absolutely horrific today. Improved drastically 2nd half, but first half was a very cowardly showing from him.

Anyway, Ballard, exceptional yet again.

I second this and I'm a big ekwah fan. When he lost the ball in the middle early on and just jogged back behind the lad carrying the ball.. showed no passion to win the ball back or even cover defensively early in the game. Luckily he sat deeper second half but even then he runs noticeably quicker when attacking than he does when getting back to defend and it's a trait that annoys me with some midfielders

100% agree! He was pulling out of tackles and aerial challenges and sometimes point blank refusing to attempt them. I remember Mowbray saying when he first signed that he had to get more aggressive, he changed his game immediately after that being said publicly, it might need to happen again, he’s been shocking recently, today by far his worst.

Cowardly? Eh… ridiculous word. You clearly don’t understand the role he was asked to play

In terms of physicality he definitely is a little bit cowardly, looks worse because of his size. Beautiful footballer at times mind, if he can get back to how he played at PNE and at home to Luton last season he'll be our best player.
