Most fickle fans I've came across us like

I'm not sure that I'd describe our fans as being particularly fickle. All football fans are fickle to some extent. However, we do seem to have a lot of fans that are extremists. Everything is one extreme or the other, nothing in between. If we win a couple of games, everything is brilliant and we are going to win the league/cup. As soon as we lose a game or two, everyone remotely involved in the club is shite. More moderate voices tend to get lost in the noise.

The way we played ( or didn’t ) tonight suggests automatic promotion is a fantasy unless either Peterborough or hull or both collapse spectacularly and we start to play as a team with a plan that know each other rather than 11 headless chickens that look like they just met on the bus.
The worst thing about last night is that we have removed all pressure off them.
Honestly felt Hull were susceptible, but they can pretty much afford to lose to us and still go up now.

That is social media in general , there is hardly any middle ground anymore anywhere

And if you don't get carried away when we're doing well then you're negative or a mag and when you're not calling for everyone to be sacked when we're going through a bad spell then you're a happy clapper.

Since Lee Johnson has took over we're probably still 1st or 2nd but he's now completely wrote off by some and definitely not good enough to get us promoted so we've got to sack another manager until he goes through a rough two game spell and the cycle continues.

We haven't got a game in hand on Peterborough, we have to play Hull away, play Blackpool twice, we are fucked
Makes no diffenrence if we are home of away there is no advantage with no fans. Yes we have blackpool to play twice they arent barcelona, we can beat anyone in this league on our day. We just need to try and win the remaining games and hope hull or Peterbrough slip up. If not we go again in the playoffs
We are not like.We turn up in our thousands every year when allowed only to be led on by countless false dawns year after year after year and you are suggesting
that it is the fans fault because they express their disillusionment at the reality that another mirage is disappearing over the horizon.
Get real my friend another south sea bubble is about to burst and the investors (fans) are being let down yet again.
Think the post is aimed at some fans on here, 1wk were great a couple of defeats later the players and manger are clueless

Football fans can be very up and down, but I think a lot of people have been making the point that we've been crap for a while and these results were arguably coming.

Whatever though, everyone is behind the manager and team for the rest of the season, and everyone hopes we go up. Thats beyond question. And the original post was a mess, so probably best off not trying to defend it.

The title of the post was a mess, but there have been some on here calling for the manager, and some saying the pllayers are all rubbish again. Disagree on being poor for a while aswell, we have had a 14 unbeaten run and we deserved to win those games. We have been poor in spells of games but that will happen with league 1 teams

Fickle?.....our club drops out of the Prem and through the Championship like a f***ing stone. Same club can't even make top 2 in League One for 3 f***ing seasons, whilst there's clubs went up that don't even have their own ground to play in.

It's not fickle.....its f***ing embarrassing!
Nail on head, yet I bet our wage bill is at least treble any other teams in that league.

Fact imo, just the fact Ljo is getting proper slated now(even seen a few saying get him out) and 2 weeks ago he was a hero. Ffs man give ower.

5 points off 2nd with a game in hand and we still have to play Hull, yes its not looking good but its not over yet.
Unfortunately this game in hand you mention doesn’t work like those games in hand where if you win them you go above the teams above you. I suggest you have another look at the league table.

Calling for the manager now is absolute crackers, especially considering the state of the club when he took over.

Re. performances i don't think we've played that well since pompey personally. But its all personal opinion.

Not saying we played great, but you dont need to to win games in this league. The difference in the last 2 games is we have made defensive mistakes were as becore we have been solid with a lot of clean sheets. Hopefully we can win all the remaining games andd hope the other 2 slip up, if not we go again ib the play offs

Three defensive mistakes last night; for all goals scored. But we played a team that were in the relegation spots for league 1 and they created by far the better openings. Its not been an uncommon theme in our recent games.
They are concerning signs, and most are merely expressing concern/frustration on that.

We outplayed them first half but were poor 2nd half. The charlton game we created the better chances but failed to take them. Everyone is frustrated when we lose, but the way some go on on here is ridiculous.

Wigan were the better team last night. Created the best chances. We don't create enough good quality chances and haven't for a while. Its not ridiculous to point that out or question that (not saying you're specifically getting at that btw).

Its also become very apparent we just can't play through the middle and are very one dimensional in approach. Teams have cottoned onto this and as a result we're becoming an easy team to play against.

There are justifiable concerns about us at the mo. Youre right some do go way OTT, but at the same time, its equally ridiculous to jump on those who say the slightest critical thing about what they are seeing.

Think thats the point people on here are making though, they arent on about people being critical of certain performances, its the meltdown that all of a sudden the manager and players are clueless after a couple of defeats. Before LJ came in some on here said we had no chance of even making the playoffs never mind the top 2. I agree oxford deserved to win, for all we were by far the better side in first half, we were awful in the 2nd and probably should of been 3-1 with 1 chance they missed
