Most fickle fans I've came across us like

Spot on. Our fans change their opinions every week, win at the weekend and everything will be great again according to this place. It’s never been a good forum for balanced arguments/opinions

I'm not sure why people take this place so seriously or a good gauge of the broder spectrum of Sunderland supporter's opinion?...

Having said that the WhatsApp group I'm in with the folk I attend with home and away are sick as fuck tonight and annoyed by that display and rightly so... the players would have saw that themselves putting in that display with supporters there.

No not fickle, just a lot of fans. Some get carried away one way and are more vocal when results support their position. Some get carried away another and become vocal when results turn and support their position.

Then we have those in the middle ground, who are either unconvinced one way or another, or have followed this club long enough to know disaster is always lurking around the next corner, and emotions take over.

I'm one of the latter if anyone's interested.
I’m in your camp marra!

Fact imo, just the fact Ljo is getting proper slated now(even seen a few saying get him out) and 2 weeks ago he was a hero. Ffs man give ower.

5 points off 2nd with a game in hand and we still have to play Hull, yes its not looking good but its not over yet.
Most demanding fans in the country especially on football forums and social media ex players are spot on

We were comfortable and the ref should have had the book out several times in the early stages, alongside a deffo stick on pen not given. Then we decide to give a way a f******* present .... then another and it all changes. What got me, was the second half performance was totally abject pre and post quadruple substitutions . Livid that we got out fought after 2-1. As poor as we've been in a long time in teh second half. Just at the wrong time of the season. Carry on like that and we could lose a few more. Reminding me of the JR season where we blew it at the death.

All of a sudden, Oxford and Lincoln have their shooting boots on.

Ha’way mods have I really just got a warning for inappropriate behaviour for calling the OP a mag?

I mean Haway 🤷‍♂️🤔

Surely not? There’d be warning 1000’s of times a day on here if that was the case. It’s a running theme, they would have to give that warning out everytime.....

I don’t get how it can be inappropriate behaviour. Whether serious or not, if you feel the op is a mag how is that inappropriate behaviour. Sounds like someone on a power trip.

I doubt a lot of people outside Sunderland recognise that what poor Newcastle are experiencing under Bruce was about as exciting, consistent or capable as we got in a decade in the PL. Everyone's sad for them, but he genuinely was one of our better spells. For the best part of a decade we couldn't string 2 wins together.

We went 6 YEARS in the PL without stringing 2 wins together. (Thankfully, very rarely getting battered by the big boys)

We'd been pulling our fingers out of our arses to get draws with Arsenal or the odd win against Man City, but then... and this was our only consistency... getting repeatedly battered by the likes of West Brom and Southampton once there was a slight drop in lime-light.

A decade of fickle nonsense on and off the pitch, followed by the worst plunge through the leauges in this illustrious club's history, including our literal lowest ever league position.

In a way it's astounding the club even has fans, the idea we might be overdemanding is ridiculous.
