Most fickle fans I've came across us like

I didn't want him, I've never been convinced and he's a long way from changing my mind. Having said that I don't want him sacked and he deserves a decent crack at it

Fact imo, just the fact Ljo is getting proper slated now(even seen a few saying get him out) and 2 weeks ago he was a hero. Ffs man give ower.

5 points off 2nd with a game in hand and we still have to play Hull, yes its not looking good but its not over yet.
No not fickle, just a lot of fans. Some get carried away one way and are more vocal when results support their position. Some get carried away another and become vocal when results turn and support their position.

Then we have those in the middle ground, who are either unconvinced one way or another, or have followed this club long enough to know disaster is always lurking around the next corner, and emotions take over.

I'm one of the latter if anyone's interested.

Spot on. Our fans change their opinions every week, win at the weekend and everything will be great again according to this place. It’s never been a good forum for balanced arguments/opinions

We are not like.We turn up in our thousands every year when allowed only to be led on by countless false dawns year after year after year and you are suggesting
that it is the fans fault because they express their disillusionment at the reality that another mirage is disappearing over the horizon.
Get real my friend another south sea bubble is about to burst and the investors (fans) are being let down yet again.

Oh do fuck off...people have every right to be pissed off after that gutless display tonight... gut wrenching I forked a tenner out tbh.

Although only positive I can see is I wasn't there to witness it and have to make my way home sick as fuck at least I can sit at home and have a beer.

I don't get why so many people on here are surprised that the majority of Sunderland fans are happy when Sunderland are winning and less happy when Sunderland are playing like crap. We're fickle on the pitch, wouldn't it be weird if that wasn't reflected
on here? 100s of fans completely unmoved as the waves of our potential threaten to crash, then roll back as if they were never there, time and time again?

Have you seen the alternative? I have. It's an outbound train from Manchester when United have just beaten Watford 2-0. All in their scarves 20 minutes after winning and you could still hear a pin drop. If that's the alternative to being affected by Sunderland performances, I'm out.

Its not over but teams at this point in the season need to hold their nerve and we aren't. Generally its called bottling it and when that happens it is right to look at the manager. Darren Ferguson has got quite a few promotions and came across quite calm. LJ looked like a panicked manager tonight. Its not fickle to be disappointed when you see us and the manager lose their nerve. Of course its not over but if the season ends with a continuation of this slump then the manager needs to be questioned.
