Thoughts?

i havent read the whole page yet though i did read 'the cricketer' article about it

1) happy that
The players show almost universal support for the retention of the 16-match Championship

2) not hugely keen on the idea of an IPL style t20 comp. i think it's a little sensationalistly worded, but i would hate it to be anything like that razzamatazz rubbish, with players swapping teams every year, moving cities much like american teams and no real connection between the teams and the places of origin.

how is it going to be any different to the season just gone when they played 16-20 t20 matches in the middle of the county season? we all got bored of that pretty quickly and couldnt wait to get back to the 'real cricket'

i say it is fine how it is, if people dont like it then they dont like it, it doesnt have to be like football, god forbid. i dont see why the need to saturate the market, just televise a bit more county cricket, sky have the rights to show far far more than they do, if it was so popular then why do they show so little cricket?

like football, god forbid.

If it becme that I'd pack it in.

For the good of cricket I'd like to see T20 regarded as a different sport. Let kids chose when growing up which one they fancy and stick to it. I hate how top players are being pulled around the world to make as much cash as possible.
