Told their jobs were safe, processed 21,950 season card applications and then given the push. Piss poor from the club.
Terrible when anyone loses their livelyhood....who exactly told them their jobs were safe...?seems a bit of confusion on here

The club has plummeted from the top half of the Premier League to the 3rd division.

Anyone sitting around thinking their job is safe, under those circumstances, is too stupid to be employed.

Just spoken to someone I know from the ticket office and so far only 1 has left and it was on mutual terms TBF. However, others from different areas have been let go. Some were under the impression that their jobs were safe after the last cull. But guess things change, would have liked to think we have not broke any recent promises.

Real shame.

This is it like they've been in 3 months now. If certain staff were safe 3 months ago it doesnt mean they are safe now as awful as that sounds.

I work for a company who has voluntary and compulsory redundancies every financial quarter for god knows how long now. The amount of times ive been "safe" then put into a pot 2 months later for the next round is ridiculous but its business at the end of the day.

DXC?

Not saying what this is what might have happened, but someone saying at an employees meeting something along the lines of "We've had a round of redundancies, and we're pretty sure there won't need to be more" is not a job guarantee.

There are no job guarantees in the modern world mate.

Trump could be indicted and forced out of office and he's, theoretically, the most powerful man on earth.

Good guess, that obvious?
I took redundancy 7 months ago. I was one of the very few who wasn’t under threat so I had to fight for it. I spent all my time trying to prevent UK&I from making my staff redundant.

What’s your job there (role rather than specifics)? I may be able to help you find a better gig ;)

You know that, and so do I, but too many people treat aspirations as certainties.
Have you ever worked in an organisation under a constant threat of redundancy?

It's a fact that even a little respite from the perceived threat can lift the worry and gloom.
