More staff sacked today

Very, very sad to see high earning snakes (who are on probably 2x/3x a week more that these staff earn in an entire year) having held out and dragged the club down with the hardworking, sincere club stuff paying the price for it as £40,000 plops into former's account every week.
this

Told their jobs were safe, processed 21,950 season card applications and then given the push. Piss poor from the club.

Exactly this despite the howls of the "this would never happen" crowd who realy haven't got a f***ing clue.

The "what did they expect,/its a business" crowd are absolutely cringe worthy as well. These are peoples jobs and livelihoods and to be so flippant about it because you can't possibly see any fault in your new messiah is quite frankly pathetic.

Anyway, fuck it. I'm off for a few pints with my mates who now don't have a job to go to tomorrow.

They should stay in and think about what they're spending tbh

fault lies completely with Short and the management and playing staff of the last two seasons. end of story sadly

To be fair,he said senior managers. To me that means managers manager. So if someone did say something like that,we don't know (and I would doubt) it was a member of the board and they really shouldn't have. I guess people who've lived in that kind of bubble for a long period of time may just slip comments out to make people feel better without thinking of the consequences.

Not that I know, just speculating. Hopefully nobody made "assurances".

That's what it boils down to, were assurances made and who made them. Because, unless that assurance is given by the person drawing up the redundancy list (which, by the way, any employment tribunal will class as favouritism if a claim is brought by someone not given them), it's utterly worthless. Being given assurances means nothing if you see the name of the manager who gave them is also on the list.

Doesn't appear that a C Methven was on the list so that's moot.

Regarding the sales teams for corporate etc, they were duped across to Elior when the redundancies were made last year. I heard, and think posted a few months ago, that some of those jobs were under threat due to the lack of sales as bizarrely the club had told Elior they were expecting 70% occupancy rate in the Championship and got absolutely nowhere near it with the disastrous campaign. If it's any of those jobs that's gone it's got nothing to do with the club, that's Elior.

It's sad and I hope the people out of work find new employment asap.

This mess belongs to Short and Co.....not the new owners. They're just making the hard decisions which circumstances are dictating.

Of course some on here who don't like the new owners and have made their minds up will use other people's misfortune to score points. Utterly disgraceful.
You're pinning the blame on Stewart Donalds regime hiring then sacking staff on Ellis Short?

Thats incredible.

And then calling people who've pointed that this is a shit thing a "Disgrace"

That's even more incredible.

Totally worthless whoever it is given by. All an employer has to say is that it was true at the time it was said but they have the right to review their operating model and cost base at any time as a commercial organisation.

This thread is verging on shocking to me.

Imagine losing your job this afternoon, logging in here and reading this shite man.
