But that’s not true is it, people have already said it would be bad and would damage their views if he’d made promises to people about keeping jobs and then not kept those promises.
Hardly a majority. Most people have said its "one of those things". That's what most people in work say when other people get the boot.

Like I say, the Don might as well get all the bad news out this week while everything's on a high.

The timing, working forward from the date of the takeover is pretty much bang on the money for the length of time needed to do a proper business review, assess the results, and perform proper selection criteria. That it coincides with the start of the season is unfortunate, but that's all it is - a coincidence.
Also hate to say it but it's the seasonal downturn in workload and company and owners lie, (again anyone reading this who has been let go of

As per the thread title - more admin and ticket office staff been sacked today despite assurances (at least to some) that their jobs were safe.

Shite, like.

Crap that and bad news to all affected but no different to a lot of us all facing uncertainty in our jobs especially the main bread winners can be a worrying time

Where did I say or intimate that they went on the streets to sell them you utter spenk
You didn't but you intimated they had personal targets which is untrue / made up at best and then when you get called out you resort to name calling. Redundancy is a crap place to be no business does it because they want to, they generally do it to protect other jobs.

He could take a shit on the head of the Stokoe statue and some would laud him for a great paint job.

Where did I say majority, people have said it’s one of those things in a certain context, which is people lose jobs, in the context of people losing jobs after being made promises (if correct) they’ve said something completely different.

I didn't intimate they had personal targets, I stated it as a fact because they did.

If they were made promises it's worse than not very good, it's disgusting and would severely change my opinion of those who made the decision. That being said we've only heard that from one person on a message board and it might well be the case that those who were promised they'd stay are among those who have been kept on. We'll see if the club make any comment about it, mind they might not be able to
They won’t have been made any promises, the club is a multi- million / 100 million pound business. Such businesses do not make promises to admin staff saying by the way we are doing a drains up on the business, but don’t worry you will be ok!

What about the local council? SAFC have been getting charged circa £2m in business rates, which is shared with the Govt. If Donald gets that down by say £1,2m (possibly more) then the council will be £600k per year worse off. How many Council employees will lose their job on the back of that too.

To be fair Donald is trying to run the business more efficiently and fairly. It's those worthless twats who paraded on the pitch who are entirely to blame for the misery of unemployment emanating from the reduction in club finances.

Spot on. I like Donald and Methven but a large part of the reason for that is because I like how open and honest they are and, to as much a degree as possible, I trust them as a result.

If they've come in, seen we are bloated, realised we needed to make cuts and have gone about it the right way then absolutely no issue. If they've gone promising people their jobs will be safe and have then made them redundant then it shows them to be untrustworthy. At that point you can't trust what they say about finances, loans, future plans, any of it.

I'm not doubting the lad who posted mind but I simply can't see why they'd do it. What would they gain from telling people they'd stay and then making them redundant? Maybe they thought people would stay and then the skeletons in the closet have needed more cuts, maybe there's some other reason, or maybe it's a case of a misunderstanding and they never promised people would stay. If possible I hope the club comment because this is the kind of rumour that could be quite damaging

Could be worse could be Northampton council

That will be exactly the justification, if you look at the stat accounts we've had 3 times as many staff as Premier league clubs. So we haven't been doing things right for a long time.
one to hold the abacus, one to move the beads along the abacus and one to keep count.....we got rid of the person responsible for getting out and putting away the abacus in the last round of redundancies!

If it had been Martin Bain we would all be seriously outraged.
