Aye, N'golo Kante doesn't have nowhere near the workrate of Jack Colback. I know who I'd rather have in my side...

Whilst I agree marra, it's clearly what he meant. English players have always been seen as more of effort and physical types, especially in days gone by. It's a nothing comment that bizarre people have jumped on. The only issue I have is it was a wrong tactic.

Have you ever watched Rodwell play? Started trying about 6 weeks ago, is his contract nearly up?

Exactly what he said, that he thought the game "might suit more Britishness in the middle of the park".....Whichever way you read it, it's a fucking ridiculous statement to make. What the fuck is "Britishness in the the middle of the park"?.......Why not, "more phsycial presence", why not "they have a better understanding of each others game", why not "they have more Premiership experience"? Moyes made an utterly bizarre statement about nationality. He is not a naive young manager this is a bloke who has managed in the Prem for 20 odd years.

So why not say that then, rather than saying "soz mate, I know we paid £14 million for you but you're not British enough for this game" ....Its an utterly bizarre statement

If he was referring purely to the fact that Rodwell and Gibson are more physical then he's wrong. Ndong has more British attributes than us two combined. I'm not sure it was a wrong tactic because we didn't get overran like previous games against Burnley. He's clearly attributed those poor displays to have less "British" players in the middle and decided to bulk up on Brits neglecting the fact that Ndong can do everything those pair offer and more.

he has also used the term "Britishness" when describing Djilobodji and Billy Jones. Claiming Papy needs the Britishness coached into him earlier in the season and that the team needs Billy Jones "Britishness" when he returned to the team ahead of Manquillo.

he's stereotyping the Brits as being brick shithouses and all "foreigners" as weak and feeble push-overs.

I agree by the way about what Ndong offers, but that's what he meant when he said more Britishness. I'm amazed people can think it meant anything else. In fact I can't even think what else it could've meant.

Blatantly obvious what he meant. Bit more grit/foot in types as Burnley have more of those types. I'm astounded (I probably shouldn't be mind with this place) it's been jumped on, there is absolutely nothing in it.

As soon as I heard about it I knew what the reaction would be.

It's a bullshit statement from Moyes but anyone can see what he was getting at, but no people are jumping on the nationality side of things. Tedious beyond belief.

This, except I didn't expect any type of reaction as it's nothing and obvious what he means.

When I say expect no reaction, I mean the usual, slate him, but I'm astounded people have gone to the depths of finding something that's not even there. Absolutely pathetic.

If we were playing Ball & Rae then would have been one thing. We played Gibson & Rodwell. Rodwell man  Did he even make a tackle on Saturday?

It was a stupid comment resorting to stereotypes and cliches, and fuck all substance.

This next song is about the time I asked Ellis Short for a pair of midfielders. Times were hard in our club. Martin Bain had to work modelling shifts to buy them players.
Anyroad he bought em and when they come back they werent British at all, they were foreign. So we said SEND THE BUGGERS BACK

There's a lot of very British local TV weathermen who could add some sparkle to any dressing room.

 People making something out of nother IMHO.

I could understand it more if Ndong hadn't been so poor since the Palace game, but he's been crap really.

Two people have at least, just looking over last couple of pages. Bagpus is constantly saying it, and Spoony claims it was based on Nationality not ability  I thought it was a game for players who are a bit more physical, like to put their foot in (only instead of that he said Britishness and the minges flaps are going like a wasps wing).

It was the wrong tactic in my opinion, but there was nothing wrong in what he actually said.

That's not what he meant at all. I can't stand the bloke and I've a jack Russell with more footballing acumen than him, but to accuse him of racism, honestly ? Haway man.

How about because N'Dong just passes the ball randomly to places he wants people to be and never looks, therefore losing it constantly. Was atrocious over the last 3 games.
