Moon shots

From what I've read its best not to shoot a full moon but to shoot it at 3/4 or so. Theres more shadows to add depth and detail to it.

How do I make them more interesting, or would this be it?

Logon or register to see this image

Double exposure on film (it used to be), take an evening shot, stick a moon in later. ev 12-14 for full moon, surprisingly bright, but not when you consider it's lit by the same light source as earth in bright daylight

Now of course you just stick them in with photoshop (spit)

I used to laugh heartily at those calendars with big moons on them (not pervy ones)

Keep em small and realistic sil vous plait

Perfect logic, same difference as shooting landscape in the middle of the day compared to the golden hours. But given they should be small on your landscape piccy it doesn't matter for that particular usage
