depends on what's the budget and how good you want the sound to be.
The bairn has some cheap Goodman's ones out of B and M similar to this. They simply plug into the headphone jack on his monitor so whatever he uses, laptop or Xbox the sound comes out. Failing that you could plug them directly into your laptops headphones and then change the settings
