Portsmouth away

But he has  he still has the occasional brain fart as we all know mate.

He was sent off 4 times in first 2 and a half years or summit. And once in the last 2 years in play. How on earth is that not an improvement?

Sessegnon has also been sent off last season, f***ing liability...get shot.

i've never said Cattermole is of the same level as Gattuso tbf, i used him as an example in response to FJH saying he has ONLY played for Sunderland, Boro and Wigan, hes not shit by any stretch and the fact he has been made captain of three different clubs in supposedly the most competitive league in the world, is testament that he isnt as shit as people make him out to be.

Well Gary Breen did the same - and captained his country. Are you going to compare him to Franco Baresi?

Eh? I said i would be blasting him aswell, even clipping him around the war. The f***ing idiot. But I don't think he should be sold and all that bollocks.

I don't think he could be sold, less than a year left on contract, we've got to give him a new one really unless we want to lose out on a £6m investment.

It sounded senseless...I really thought he was starting to learn.

It's not like he's a particularly dirty player, he just does stupid tackles. Remember he red card against Wigan? That was one of the stupidest moments on a football field I've ever seen.

He's thick as pig shit. Read an article with him a couple of years ago where he said 'cos he played midfield he was bound to pick up a lot of bookings, which is crazy, as not all midfielders do. He made it sound as if it was not his fault , but the Refs', his view was askew of reality, like someone who committed a crime and rationalised the action, it was the circumstance, not the choice he made.I have been very disappointed with MON seeming to rate him, thought one of his first actions as manager would be to send him packing, but he is still not just at the club, but is our captain; amazing.

 it makes me happy that it annoys you like.

I've had enough of him like, if we could ship him out tomorrow and replace him with someone who could do his job (which I'm sure we'll be able to in Jan or the summer) then I would.

Totally agree he has been daft in the past, but from what i saw it was a yellow at most. I would have contested the red but O'Neill speaking out won't help his cause

Have only seen the challenge once in real time from the Sky highlights,it didn't seem that bad,the ball had ran away from him. If this had been his first offence I don't think people would be as hard, but with his track record

Wasn't a great view on the highlights I've just seen on SSN but it looked ridiculous to me, slightly high and inviting the decision.

Slightly high one footed challenge? Yellow? Not a straight red.If he did it while on a first yellow i would be calling him, but just seen a lot worse yellow card offences than that

Agree with this. Havent heard O'neills comments yet but am surprised if he is bein overly critical of him.

Give awer man.

Never knee jerked in my life marra. I said on the match thread I've never rated him as a Footballer but keep reading on here about how good he is so thought maybe I'm wrong and I'll see how he progresses this season. Aye we miss him (at times) when he's not there but he's a very very average Footballer.

As I said it wasnt a great view, think the way he went steaming in to the lad didn't help him.

as we left the ground someone got a call saying some ex official or someone had said on the radio/Telly that it was never a red which backed up my thought, and TBH i thought it would hopefully be rescinded. Only since i got back and seen O'Neills comments that i think that won't happen now

He did go through with his momentum but i honestly was shocked to see a red

Oh aye, its all about opinions like but we all think he's an imporant player for us. Am always surprised when someone i previously thought was alright comes out with utter bollocks. ;)

just seen it again and still think its harsh like.

Sounds like an ITK situation there like mate ;)

Dunno what Gary Bennett's view was like but he called the red card as soon as he went in for the challenge

We've coped without Cattermole in previous seasons for spells and we'll do it again. He's not the be all and end all of our side.
