I don’t backslide Pukka, not like you if I recollect. For the record, and I repeat, at the time due to Grayson time in the lower divisions I thought he would be a better choice. One thing puts us above you lot is that we admit when we are wrong and don’t have inflated views of ourselves
Daydrinking was so much better back in my day.

So he's gone for £22m rising to £27m....but Ashley is a terrible businessman mind

I'm not sure he is directly involved in the transfers like. Can we all hail Short for signing Defoe? Done well to make a profit like but it's the club and probably *Charnley that needs praise not Ashley.

* I say that through gritted f***ing teeth.

The mags could fall into a vat of diarrhoea and come out with a Rolex watch the jammy fuckers,.

Dreadful deal for Fulham IMO.

There's talk about the mags signing Rondon as a replacement who apparently has a £16M release clause. Quite why Fulham don't sign him, save £6M and get a better player is beyond me.
Mitrovic is way better than Rondon. Fulham are going to surprise a few this year

Mitrovic has done nothing at all in the premier league, looked crap to be honest. But we'll see, feel free to bump.
Newcastle didn't know how to use him.

He's 23, a complete handful in the air, holds up play well and scores goals. Fulham play a high technique high tempo passing game but critically it isn't tikitaka because they also have Mitrovic as a battering ram target man. He was a massive success on loan and so taking all that into account, £22m is a steal for them.

Looking decent in the Championship means very little. I think the cash they've paid for a player who failed in the Premier league in way OTT.

As I said we'll see.

He's integral to their system though. They know him, he knows them. And tbh he also looked decent in the World Cop. Failure at the Mags isn't confirmation a player isn't good. A mutual mental bookmark made ;)

Gayle looked phenomenal in the Championship; means nothing.

The laughable thing about it all is that Newcastle fans are screaming that they should be spending that sort of money on players, failing to realise that Mitro regrettably is a 20mil striker in todays market. I dread the day we ever get back to the top league.
