so what is the average spell on sidelines with that injury.. im guessing santa will of been by the time we see titus back.. hope not as we have no leader at the back without him

Depends on the severity of the tear. If it's a bad one he'll need an op to repair / remove the damaged cartilage, in which case it will be after Christmas. If it's not a bad one and doesn't need an op then he could be back playing in a couple of weeks.

bruce was saying he may have to go under the knife.. pray not like as we looked all over tonight, saying that evertons movement was really good. hurry back rock

Oooh now. I had this operation in July (along with cartilage repair) and it's 6 months for us normals, probably half that for someone who isn't a fat office worker.

Added to that he'll have the best surgeon money can buy and daily rehabillitation

Funnily enough, I did have the best surgeon money can buy (purely by chance at the private hospital that does the sports surgery for all the North West sports teams - inc Rooney et al - as waiting lists were shorter than the local NHS hospital), but perhaps, possibly, maybe, haven't been completely 100% commited to my rehab. ;)

We really need Mensah to step up to the plate now. If he is also out for a month or more then he really is no use to us - end of.

whats shown on the MRI wil av to be investigated by Keyhole surgery
6 weeks for a footballer, avoidin muscle wastage by swimmin and weights

I had keyhole on this injury 3 and a half years ago, I was back to work in 10 days. I had MRI and ultrasound scans. Basically it leaks fluid causing swelling in the knee. Assuming no other damage about 3 weeks out IMO.

not playin footbal tho mate

once the knifes in youre guaranteed arthritis ...

If it's a simple tear that can be cut out it'll be around 6 weeks. You can walk again very quickly, but they won't risk him playing football until all the internal swelling has gone down and his joint is fully stable again.

Wife just had the surgery done Wednesday. Basically just a clean-out job, take out what's torn, leave what isn't. She says that save for the two small incisions, it already feels better than it did pre-surgery. She's talked to a few people who were near 100 percent after three weeks, but others it was a couple months.
