From what I can gather, Sainsbury's not paying rent for the strip of tarmac that runs down the side of the MVSC, the MVSC got arsey and put bollards up to stop anyone leaving Sainsbury's car park by the western exit (next to the MVSC).

oh sounds like a domestic, I did a gig in there last year I know one of the ex-committee.

I'd imagine the MVSC have not done owt illegal, but will lose a lot of goodwill locally.

Put barriers in place so there's now only one way in and out of Sainsburys car park rather than separate entry and exit points. Makes for a bit of a fuck on for those parking in disabled/parent bays.

Yep, I’m a member, go in once a year which will funnily enough be Saturday.

I’ve seen the Facebook picture. If it’s right what was said early on in this thread, good on them. It’s Sainsburys inconveniencing their customers by not paying to use the land. In a world where pubs, & especially working men’s clubs are closing at a rapid rate, who are they to gift favours to the multi million pound nationwide company.
