Another blow to the mags, the majority of the mags I know reckon he's been one of their best players this season.

Colo out for three games
Williamson out for three games
Barton out for one game
R Taylor injured for three months
Ben Arfa injured until April

They really have no depth and will struggle unless they buy some quality in January (which I think Hughton will try his hardest to do)

They've appealed the Williamson 3 match ban, so it could be more.

wont be more
they appealled the decision, he was found guilty this afternoon so its a 3 match ban
if they appealled the length of the ban it could have been extended but that wasnt their appeal
so its 3 matches

Not if they (quite rightly) consider the appeal frivolous.

I think we appealed the card instead of the decision to charge Turner, that's where we went wrong. Newcastle appealed before the ban so Williamson gets 3 games unless they appeal the actual ban. In the small print which i think we admitted was our mistake last year. Might have just made that up like.

We appealed the length of the ban, not the card. How can you appeal before a ban?

I think you've made it up, but I've no idea what's right and wrong now anyway - though I've heard that Andy Carroll is appealing against his conviction for mass murder that's he's not yet committed or been charged with, just to be on the safe side.

It must be identical to this ...

 Aye, that'll be it.

Seems that if you appeal a sending-off and its deemed frivolous you get it extended. But if its a retrospective charge (no card) then perhaps it is deemed more reasonable to appeal and an extra game never tagged on??

just seen that the FA have banned MW for 3 matches now.

utterly disgraceful decision. it is indeed turning into a witch hunt.

what about the likes of De Jong, Cttermole, Cahill, et al, all total thugs who are allowed by the spineless sweet FA to get away with their thuggery.

absolutely disgusted. the can shove the world cup where it won't shine as far as i'm concerned now.

Does head butting a player not class you as a thug?

doesnt look like it does it.where as 4 yellow cards for clumsy fouls do make you a thug
