Trying to justify Rafa airing his dirty linen, while criticising Mike for doing the same. The cogs are turning :)
That's so beautiful it's almost poetic

Ashley hardly ever speaks in public, so the timing and the message is very important. I think he is telling Benitez to get the fuck on with it and to get back in his box.
If Benitez is as good as he thinks he is he should have no problem staying up with thag squad. If he continues to twist the players will draw on that negativity and they will struggle. Couldnt give a toss one way or another but it seems to be a battle of ego/will, fascinating
Well let's hope it starts with a rip-roaring stuffing on Sunday then.

thought he gave a good honest interview he says
if Newcastle fans think that we have 150 million to spend they are wrong

benitez has to sign players with money that the club generate

the club is Newcastle united and doesn't have these massive sponsor deals on stadiums etc

he says people say I'm wealthy maybe I am a billionaire but in reality my money is all in shares at sports direct

he doesn't have that cash in the bank so he doesn't have that the ability to write massive cheques

I don't have it its not there I would have to sell the shares at sports direct to fund that

he wants to make it clear he is nowhere near wealthy enough in football terms to pay that sort of money for players

he cannot and he will not spend that type of money,
full interview on sunday

Know him and the family well. They are lovely fun people - work hard and play hard. Very generous

Irrelevant! Whether I do or don't doesn't detract from all the sniping, and as I say to you and anyone else in general for that matter, if you are so aggrieved then just put them on ignore.

Sounds common sense to me

That's what they so obviously lack mate

He's spent nearly £90m so far

Granted he got a load of money (luckily) for Wijnaldum & Sissoko, but he hasn't spent the money well that he's laid out.

£85m-£90m
