"Migrating" at half time

Just my opinion like but i think it's absolutely pathetic that grown blokes actaully complained to the club and on here about young teenagers gathering behind the goal in the second half.

Our support, although vast and loyal in numbers, is absolutely soft as shite some times.

Imagine people at roker park complaining cos young lads were gathering together on the terrace .
and at Roker Park they actually put us behind the goal, it was called the Boys Enclosure and was a caged off bit at the front of the Roker End.
I would actually encourage kids to gather behind the goal, have some fun at the match ( novel idea?) and let any adults with season cards there move somewhere else if it bugs them.

We used to be in Roker Park hours before kick off in those days. Massively different now, I know, but kids should still be able to enjoy themselves at the game.

Was stopped by a steward at half time walking along the concourse to the North Stand, (the one with all of the empty seats) cos I fancied a different view of the game.
The very zealous, 70+, 5ft 3", steward was trying to check everyone's ticket before letting them pass. He said it was new club policy..."No migrating seats at half time"
The sight of him chasing and trying to prevent a 6ft 6" pissed up fan getting to his seat was something you don't see often.
Not sure why the club would have such a policy - what harm does it do?
You should have nutted him.

Do it in the summer to follow the sun. No harm in topping up the tan. Actually did it on Saturday to be at the end we are attacking. Don't see the harm in it when they are 20000 empty seats

The one about the flare on the head was a good point, but there is also different pricing structures in various parts of the ground i.e. I have a discounted ticket for the NE corner, which does not give the right to sit in either the central part of the East or West stand whether empty or not.

So fine to sit anywhere you want pre first half but not ok post firsr half?

That was my thought too. There was loads of them, but they weren't causing any bother from what I saw.

they do cause bother though mate. It happens every game and it’s impacting people in the lower tier. If they actually attempted to support the team, folk wouldn’t care but they spend the full 45 mins with their back to the game doing stupid signs to the away fans 50 metres away.

Also the stupid little sods are now acting themselves outside of the away end

There was a steward in the West Stand that had a right go at two young lads who were moving seats for the second half and even demanded to see their season cards. Absolutely pathetic from the steward involved like.

Just find an empty row(s) and walk along that rather than using the concourse.

Since relegation from premier league, I have never been back to my seat in North Stand and always go sit in the lovely almost tv style view in east stand,

not really, as the steward would have been told to do that by the club. The reality is; you can’t keep letting kids congregate behind a goal on a walkway. Its one thing if they want to sit together in a empty seat, but just standing on a walkway, pointing at the away fans was always going to get them noticed 😂

The fact a group rush to chuck abuse at away fans after the game doesn’t help their cause either 😂

He might have only been 50 + and had a hard paper round.
