Mignolet set to return

Gordon has been back one game and already O'Neill has seen enough and is now going to be dropped for Mignolet to return, says everything.

Aye righto. He is rightly rewarding him for his bravery in playing with a broken face. Playing Gordon last week will now mean that he can offer him a deal.

I prefer him because he keeps clean sheets, I realise I'm in the minority.

Lucky Mignolet.

You're off your tits man

Don't you think that Gordon getting a game at all speaks volumes, given he is out of contract this summer?

Aye as mignolet had nosworthy and mcshane as his defence f***ing idiot

Mignolet has kept 3 clean sheets in previous 4 games with Kilgallon and Turner in front of him and they looked solid(Everton apart). Gordon comes back in and they look like they've never played together, when Gordon plays we concede for fun, it's not just coincidence.

Ah yes, we're back to Masterplan's sole reasoning for thinking Mignolet is a better keeper.

And the reason for this is; he plays behind a better defence than Gordon ever did. Brilliant logic, truly brilliant.

How many did we concede against West Brom and Man City?

Man City had 2 go straight down the middle of the goal and Mignolet didn't even manage to dive for either of them.

Turner was solid yet again kilgallon had a shocker along with bardsley. But oh wait its unconceivable that a player/s can have a bad game. I know lets blame the keeper who was blameless.

Nice avoiding discussing Mignolet and his clean sheets, get back to me when Gordon can keep as many clean sheets as Mignolet does.

Neither goal at Man City was Mignolet's fault.

Doesnt MON just say that if Mig didnt play the last few games then he has been unlucky?...

Couldnt it be taken to be him telling Mig that he's just unfortunate he isnt playing, rather than him not being good enough?

I see nothing to suggest he's suddenly going to drop Gordon for no reason other than Mig is there, why would he bother to play Gordon even one game if he's going to drop him the next game for no particular reason?

Gordon is no way the complete keeper. Notice, what ever else was wrong, his positioning for the first goal last week was poor, he moved and stopped once again leaving plenty of open space. The second one was also a keeper's ball but he doesn't do it in those very postions.

Bollocks. If Gordon had been in goal and those 2 had gone in you would have had an aneurysm by now. It's a shame he wasn't in hindsight.

You can't compare clean sheet records. Were the defences the same? Were the opposition the same? Were the situations the same? Was Bruce in charge or O'Neill? Have you got nothing else?

When has Gordon ever played behind a defence as good as O'Shea, Brown, Turner, Richardson etc for a consistent period of time? Oh that's right, he hasn't.

I'm a big fan of Mignolet but he's nowhere near the standard of Gordon in most areas of his game. How you can't see this is beyond me, to be honest.
