The worst offenders never apologise, or even adapt their approach to something more realistic, they either change tack and find another angle to bash the club, or disappear until the inevitable dip comes (and it will, it probably won't be as deep as last year but there'll still be one) and then come back with 'I told you so'.
If it was up to me I'd have a list pinned to the top of the board of known whiners and mischief makers, so we all knew where we stood.
Bruce took a load of shit on here for 'selling us short' in the GK department, the 'pointless' loan signing of Danny Welbeck and 'rubbish' purchase of the mistake-ridden Titus Bramble. After the WBA game many of these complaintants wanted Steve Bruce removed.
Funny that these three have been amongst our best players as the club makes a solid start to the season and in fact look as if we have a really good chance to finish towards the top 8 or 9, possibly pushing for European football this season.
I offer all the Bruce bashers the opportunity on this thread to put pride to one side and be big enough and admit that 'I was wrong' and that, in fact Steve Bruce does know best and is doing a very good job.
It's just nice to be proven right. I was in favour of all 3 signings and said so at the time. That makes me right and leaves a lot of fools with egg on their faces. No wonder so many were eager for Bruce to fail back then, although they now seem to have swallowed their medicine and got back on board.
to be fair it was scary how many people didnt rate welbeck when we signed him
and if he was keeping campbell out the team you would be telling everyone how shit he is
Happy to hold my hands up and say I was wrong in some cases, Bruces signings have (in the main) done well so far. Long may it continue.
Still have my reservations about Bruce, far too often he's too slow to change things, Saturday was another example of this.
Although I agree with this, his decisions aren't costing us games and we're 7th so ultimately I suppose he is right. One mans dilly dallying could be another mans keeping his nerve. His record in the transfer market is excellent though and there can be no denying that we are a much better team than we were when Bruce arrived 16 months or so ago.
Amazing! We were easily the better team in the first half ( possession statistics alone ) and early in the second half, Bruce does what everybody wants and brings Gyan on early, and 'offs' Welbeck. That's not changing things like?Happy to hold my hands up and say I was wrong in some cases, Bruces signings have (in the main) done well so far. Long may it continue.

We were a goal ahead and he wanted to score more.
As it happened it was a bad move because we were overran in midfield most of the second half.
He brought on Mensah to curb their forward menace of a revitalised Young and enthusiastic Albrightson (sp). AV didnt score. That wasnt changing things?
In the last 5 minutes only a last ditch world class tackle ( not my words ) by Dunne stopped Bent 5 or 6 metres out. Is that Bruce's fault?
Then Gyan had a free run and a scoring opportunity but scuffed the chance when bent was free. Was that Bruce's fault.
I've watched the AV game 3 times now. Reading posts like yours you'd think we were pinned back and never laid a glove on them.
The woodwork and good goalkeeping saved Blackburn.
It's clear though you are looking for and expecting the worst and very begrudgingly accept the good so far while still (hoping ) expecting bad results.
Your notions are both ill conceived and preconceived imo.
Aren't they? I think we could have won at Blackburn had we gone for it earlier and we were pretty lucky to get away with it on Saturday.
Can't fault his record so far in the transfer market, we'll see how we get on over the winter but aye, so far so good.
I couldnt see any sense In Welbeck's loan signing, thought It was far more Important to play Waghhorn, I thought he could be Bruce's very own Healy signing. Ive been very happily proved wrong.
One of my points at the time of the signing was why would he turn out to be rubbish when Fergie has gone on record as saying he's one of the most exciting forwards he's seen come through at MUFC?
