Just listened to that. Micky Gray making a right fool of himself.
Last week he was excited because he had some info this has now been bombed out of the water and he's bitter

Says this offer came out of the blue but then goes on to claim he knows all the details of the deal.

We might be taken over by a consortium with dodgy finance or
We might be taken over by a group of astute wealthy businessmen or
somewhere in between

at the moment no one really knows Certainly not Micky Gray

Sounds as bitter as a pint of John Smiths

:lol:I’d make him unwelcome at safc in the future if I was the don.........and make the fuss of his life ower Martin Smith. Smithy would be rubbing it in like owt and Mucky would be fuming.

I 100% believe Short has paid off the debt and that he isn't the spawn of satan some on here would have us believe him to be.
What puzzles me slightly is how this squares up to FFP? Isn't the point of these rules to stop rich people throwing money at their playthings?

I doubt very much whether it applies to paying off debts. It's about making financial losses on football costs on top of losses, so if the club is losing money, we'll have a set amount we can spend on transfers and wages over a 3 year period based on our previous divisions. Because we've gone down so rapidly, we'll still be able to make a loss this season way above most league one clubs.

Doesn't mean the club will be debt free under the new owners though does it? It might be debt free it might not be, at present nobody knows unless there is information out there I am unaware of.
That's all I was saying.

Yes. It means for the foreseeable future the club can work debt free. Any conditions for repayment of amounts contingent on is getting promoted to the PL are between the new owners and Short, and however they choose to finance them, they aren't as constraining as the existing debt would have been in League One and/or the championship should we get there.

I am willing to bet he was offered a position at the club

The way he kept banging on about how Donald would need advise from people who have gone from league 1 to the premiership, i reckon he was definitely involved in Armstrongs consortium.

what a surprise. I got hammered about gray.

point is proven, again

So if we go straight up this Repsol and the American bank are going to invest and we can assume heavily?

Who’s on watch at the airport for Mbappe and Varane arriving?

he's embarrassing himself

thought he might have piped down after yesterday's shambles but no he's at it again

absolute shit stirer and bitter as fuck. not what you'd expect from a so called Sunderland fan

hope the Donald bans him from the SoL
