Regaining the Ashes. What makes you think he wants a change of career?
Regaining the Ashes.
he has never coached before in his life, he had the chance to be director of cricket and bottled it, so he's had his chance and blown it.
He prefers to sit from a distance and criticise rather than to do something about it, thats his choice, not the ECB's
Gillespie please
Thank god for that, cardigans on and a nice cup of tea...He wasn't applying for the job of coach. Doesn't matter now, the winds of change have been averted again with the appointment of good old Straussy.

Agree, but the resident expert has pronounced him to be a joke. So it's not going to happen.I agree mate, would really like to see him get the gig. More positive cricket and at least we'd have a go, think he has it in him to be a great coach.

A winning England captain?Cricket's answer to Gary Neville
And national team coach. Yeah, exactly the same as Neville! He's more like Robbie Savage.A winning England captain?
There's no need to be nasty. I thought Vaughan was a successful captain, that's all. Bloody hell...And national team coach. Yeah, exactly the same as Neville! He's more like Robbie Savage.
I was having a go at the other guy saying he was like Gary Neville. Other than playing for England there's very little similarity, I thought it was a weird comparison to make. I assumed he was saying they've both gone into commentary because they haven't got the bottle to be managers but their commentary styles are totally different (Vaughan is deliberately controversial) and Neville has gone into coaching whereas Vaughan hasn't so it doesn't even work on that level. There's no need to be nasty.
