Anyone know whats happened to this lad.....

quality top order bat seems to have vanished off the face of the earth

Think he picked up an injury half way into last season and lost a bit of form which led to him being dropped from Hampshire's side. Surprising in a way as I thought he looked a decent bat in the World T20.

I've never really been convinced he was ever anything more than an average county batsman to be honest. A 31 year old who averages under 35 in the four day and one day forms of the game; not the worst T20 record but there's plenty of better batsmen out there.

Yeah, he was a little frustrating in that tournement as he would regularly start off quickly and notch up 20-odd before getting out. I don't think he was ever going to command a place in the test side but I would have liked at look at him opening in ODI's. Strong batsman with the ability to dominate if he got in.
