Should have played a lot more for England. Him and kieswetter and we ended up going back to bell and cook ffs.

Agreed, one of the best white ball openers in the country over the last 10 years, and he only ever played 3 ODI's in basically an England reserve squad in the Windies.

Excellent fielder too, remember him taking a blinder against Ireland in the T20 World Cup winning campaign.
 
Didn't think he was up to much personally, his domestic one day record never really stood out either. An average of 32 with only 8 hundreds, strike rate was good but nothing to write home about.

We became world number 1, won 10 in a row, and should have won the champions trophy final

The one day game has changed, since the rule change and 20/20

But lets not rewrite history, we were very good one side under Cook at one point, when we had KP, Bell, Trott, Swann, Broad, Morgan and Jimmy all playing.
