Do you think they'll take it to monument and redirect to the sports direct metro station, rather than marching us up from central? Would surely make more sense wouldn't it?

Its on a completely different line and would require a change and boarding a train coming in from North Shields, Wallsend, Walker and Byker and the line ending at St James' Metro Station. I don't think that would be very good.

I dunno why we don't just go for a drink in Newcastle early on, instead of walking straight to the ground like a flock of sheep.

Decide on a pub or two and have a few pints before the game.

This. If we all plough up, there's fuck all they could do.

Back in the real world............ the coppers will decide what time Metro/Metro's everyone is getting then go round the bars like they did last year letting people know.

But they surely won't be stopping earlier metros? Same happened against Boro, some didn't take their advice and got earlier train, they had no problems.

Fair doos, I only lived in Newcastle for 3 years like, I shouldn't have been expected to know that!

the mags had 1 or 2 "football special" metros to our place in august. Went straight to St Peters.

aye i live and go out in newcastle, i remember seeing adverts by the police in the bars in newcastle in the run up to derby advertising the football special train times. surely the same gets done in return.....

Special metro non stop to central departing 10.13 next week - source real radio website.
There's one coming back too 3.17 I think it said.

Intending getting the metro but it will be ridiculously packed like- might just see if the lads want a few pints and then pile in a taxi (but I reckon the metro would be a better laugh like)

By the way, I've never been in Sunderland pre match for an away derby (never having been fortunate enough to have a ticket before), are the pubs likely to be packed at 9 or is it generally just those who are going to the match who get in that early? I'm guessing it'll be rammed like but might as well check!
