There was a young man from Pelaw
Whee got in trouble with the law
He double dropped three cowies
Kidnapped his arn mar
Then taxed the Metty and crashed it into his arn jaw

North Shields, Meadow Well
Percy Main
Where the fuck you think I'm going
I'm going on the train

Percy Main, Howdon
Hadrian Road
I'm on the metty, metty, metro system
Thats the way it goes

Hadrian Road, Wallsend

Clickity-clack, clickity-clack.
Away we go on the track.
Clickity-clack, clickity-clack.
Another station to our back.

Lines of green and yellow.
Rivers of Tyne and Wear.
Cities of New and Sun.
Connect away by train or plane.

Clickity-clack, clickity-clack.
What do other places lack?
Clickity-clack, clickity-clack.
The sound of the locals crack.

If you've paid for your ticket clap your hands
If you've paid for your ticket clap your hands
If you've paid for your ticket
Paid for your ticket
Paid for your ticket clap your hands!

Carriage is silent!

"Stand clear of the doors please"
Says the automated voice,
She doesn't really care about me,
She's not saying by choice,
It's just a lawsuit avoidance consideration,
where was she?
When I fell down the escalator in Central Station.
