Metro delays - Sunderland line

Sunderland line seems extremely weak.

Newcastle and North Tyneside sections are frequently subject to thefts.

South Shields line was off for months.

There’s only really Gateshead that’s reliable.

To think we gave up most of our national and regional rail services for that heap of shite.

If I have to catch a train at Newcastle I roll up at Seaburn Metro station about half an hour earlier than I should to allow for the unreliability of it.
Any time I have to use it, the first thing I do in the morning is check their twitter account to see if its actually running, or whether there's delays etc. because it happens so frequently. Actually seems incredibly rare to wake up and read that all the trains are working, are going to all stations, and are doing so to timetable. Compared to other regions our transport is a disgrace and very little seems to happen about it

Use it 4 days a week and find it fairly reliable tbh. Was expecting it to be way worse the way the wailing fannies on here gan on about it.
Considered giving up the car at one point, and tested using it for a short while to get to Felling.

I still kept the car! Was constant late for meetings, and some days I even gave up and went back home to work. Might have caught it on a bad fortnight, but it was nowhere near reliable.
