Hopefully a lengthy custodial sentence but I don’t think it will as it is low value and probably a first offence.
I cannot understand why other offences such as misconduct in a public office weren’t in there too.
He won’t have been sacked as the internal matters are place sub judice while a case is ongoing. I am guessing that he hasn’t been suspended as they have found a job for him to do without public contact, not in the evidential chain etc. If he is suspended he still gets paid so might as well get something out of him under close supervision

He has been back to court today for sentencing, magistrates have adjourned it and sent it to crown court as in their minds their sentencing powers aren’t enough. Sounds like he is getting a couple of years. Still can’t understand why misconduct etc wasn’t on the charge sheet too.
