At least ronaldo had the balls to test himself like and win titles.

Juve hadnt won a thing for years till ronaldo crossed the doors
You would think that with his vast fortune he would have rather have taken less money to come to England and have a crack at the Premier league. The French league isn’t shit and the Spanish league certainly isn’t either, but the Premier League is the most exciting league, and also probably the best and most competitive

Again, I find it staggering how many football fans on here seemingly dislike one of the best footballers to ever have lived.

Really odd behaviour.

Because he's a arrogant little bell end who pretends to be humble but throws his toys out the pram every season to get a higher wage, because 350k a week just isn't enough for him. His greed has forced him to leave the club who give him everything and made him the player he is. He has always said if he ever left Barca he would only ever play for newells old boys, but when it came down to it he went to the highest bidder.

Do you like Messi mate?
No. Proved nothing until hes played against palace and the likes

Do any prem teams want to sign him like?

While i agree, its still a tougher league than Ligue 1
Probably on par. La Liga, Premier League and Bundesliga are the top 3 with Ligue 1 and Serie A a good bit behind. Ligue 1 has been a slight bit more competitive than Serie A.

Huge pressure on PSG now. They've came close to winning the Champions League in the last 2 seasons. They'd be expected to win it now with that squad.

It’s not that I dislike him, I just wanted more from him in terms of how he tests himself. Going to the French league after finally leaving Barca is a monumental let down. He could have tested himself against Chiellini, Bonucci etc in Italy or any number of world class players in the Prem but has chosen to play in a poor league. Seemingly cos they would pay the most. What a waste.

Serie A is, was and always will be a better league than Ligue 1 like, ha'way.

PSG were the only team in for him. He can't just go to Man City and make them sign him.

they weren’t the only time interested in him, but they seem to be the only team he was interested in. I just feel like this was the one chance he’d have to really silence the doubters. But he’s went from a poor league to an even poorer league.

Surely if he went to seria a hed be on the same team as chiellini and bonucci?

Or was he expected to sign for sassuolo or something?

never mind 350k. He hasn’t been on that money for absolutely years. Most recent contract was 121 million pounds a year according to Forbes

which is 2.3million a week. Half in taxes. So about 1.15million a week after tax.

Italy have just won the world cup and most of there players, play in the italian leagues. Milan, Napoli, Atalanta, Juve, Inter, Roma etc are all still a higher standard than the teams in Ligue 1. One of the reasons PSG have struggled to go all the way in the champions league over the last few years is due to lack of competition in the league.

Then he tests himself against inter, Milan, Atalanta, teams that are, you know, competitive.

Remember this time last year when he was taking Barca to court to be allowed to leave on a free.
Cue today, he's crying in press conferences that he has to leave.

its all bollocks.

And couldn't even win their own domestic league last season.
