Memories of Childhood 'Snacks'

Mrs K still gets cherry lips and floral gums from Mr Simms or whatever sweet shop.
Absolutely rank
I got a bag a couple of months ago from one of these "retro" sweet shops. Definitely not how I remember then. Tastes of soap!

Oh, and they had MB bars. Hadn't seen those for years either, so got a bar. Also f***ing awful.

Then a spiced version - chop suey?[/QUOTE]

Can't remember the spiced ones mind, though you might be right. Also remember the light brown plastic looking things, square shaped, when you hoyed them in the chip pan (remember them) they came out like Quavers without the cheese taste. Can't remember what they were called though.

And the line of blokes in boiler suits leading from Doxies to the shop in Pallion.
Stop it man! You’ll have us in tears!
On a happier note, Terry’s Logger bars... always seemed to be huge. Used to get one after swimming and nearly always from McColl’s on crowtree road.
Cadbury’s Spira. Used to use it as a straw and drink hot tea with it. Lusharoon.
Chilli flavoured Brannigans. Epic crisps: wish they’d bring them back out!!!
