McNair to Boro OFF

They agreed a fee with us so were free to talk to him. If they haven’t, that’s not Sunderland’s fault.

So basically Premier League clubs are interested and they know they stood no chance of signing him now.
Doubt he fancies Boro as a destination, especially since Stoke came into it, back to Cheshire and all his mates I reckon.

What were the owners comments mate?

Brighton bid 2m - rejected
Brighton bid 3m - rejected
Then nothing but a few clubs linked - Donald thinks agent instructed them to stand off to put us under pressure and accept those low bids.

Forget the sequence of events but it eventually ended up with his agent speaking to us and us telling them that bids had been rejected (they knew that) and the agents getting pissed off, saying he would never play for SAFC again. We told them our realistic valuation - roughly what we paid. Four hours later Boro bid it. Then later Stoke did.

Cheers mate

Agents still think Short and Bain are in charge, the phrase you should all take note of is "the piss taking party is over".

Must be doing their f***ing nut in that Donald is happy to keep the players contracts while not paying them. It appears courtesy of the new regime playing hard ball and players agents thinking they are weak as piss the agents are gonna fuck their players over.:lol::lol:
