McLaren apologises for losing derby

From his perspective he's lucky he has some positives to build on from what would normally be a very damaging result given the current league position.

They did play well in the first half and given the good result the previous week he's got something to tap into there for the next game.

The fans anger has been directed at the ref and not the manager so he's played it well really.

Win and he might just be off an running, lose next game and suddenly he's under scrutiny directly again.

The derby had Steve Bruce rattled during his time as our manager. Time and time again, he built it up and then everything fell to pieces. The exact same is happening with Newcastle but this time it's not just the manager - it's the players, media and large sections of their fans.

All they are doing is building more and more pressure on one match. On Monday, they needed to move onto Stoke and forget the derby. Instead open letters are being on Thursday apologizing.

Even if the mags take the lead in March, I can see them really struggling to get over the line. It's quite funny really

Imagine if they take the leade and we score 2 goals in the last ten minutes

To be fair here is the response of some of their more sensible fans:

"apologize by resigning you washed out clown?"

He's just emphasising what we already knew, he's a complete and utter buffoon.
He seems to have a lurking hostility towards us, it's as though he resents us for allegedly being second best but having the audacity to actually go on and win the game.
He's shown absolutely no cordiality whatsoever towards us either before or after the match, even Sam came out and said he thought the penalty
was harsh.
He's just another in a long line of classless bellends who occupy that seat.

We won the Derby, on Monday or Tuesday Allardyce said it was a fantastic result and great for the fans but that it was just the beginning of a lot of hard work. The players also said how fantastic it was to play in it. But that's it, no over kill an fan acknowledgement that it was a great win but just one win.
They in the other hand have mentioned nothing else all week, players and manager and they are now less than 48 hours away from their next game and still bleating on about the last one.
Maybe they think the possession and corners carry over and they have already done enough to beat Stoke

First time I've wanted Stoke to win in a while  I want the mags to bring in Sherwood

Good point ........ the two pre-match interviews, tomorrow, will say a lot about the managers.

I'd put money on Allardyce shrugging it off and saying it's just 3 points.

He knows the one thing that will absolutely turn the Mag hoardes against him would be to say anything positive about us at all. If he did the sheets would be out and there'd be a rush to set up a dot.com to have him sacked

Sherwood would be brilliant
