To be honest he’s probably been one of our best signings the past 5 year. What did Grayson pay for him? 200,000 or something. He didn’t get much right Grayson but it was great business. Yeah he has the odd game when not everything comes off for him but he’s scored and made a fair share of goals for us. It’s a bit like when we had Nicky summerbee I remember his first season plenty didn’t like his because they said he was lazy and too soft. Some people don’t realise not all players are work horses
Summerbee did come across as soft as shite like but think his laconic style made him appear lazier than he actually was and his crossing was absolutely sublime. Didn’t seem to need to beat his fullback just make a foot of space and bend it round them.

He was absolutely immense today but let’s be fair, there have been plenty of games where he’s done next to nothing.

It’s easy to call this out when he’s just put in the best performance in a very long time.

He's scored more goals in a couple of months than Graham and Grigg (I could add more names) have all season.

4 goals plus assists before yesterday's game and he's easily been our best winger since he came back into the side.

It's time for people to admit they were wrong. Many said he was finished. It wasn't just about his so called bullying.

It was proven it wasn't bullying, it was him saying his expectations were higher than theirs and they should embrace their time playing football and should feel ashamed to get beat by the likes of Burton.

It was interesting to watch his post-match interview. He was asked if today’s game was something he’ll always remember, and his answer was a deadpan “In what respect?”

He wasn’t trying to be disrespectful of 4 goals and 4 assists. But it was an acknowledgment, from someone who’s seen a lot more, that there’s a lot more that needs to be done. It’s critical to have a few characters who look at it that way, a bit like Keane did.

The laziest, most shagged out looking footballer was Chris Waddle, a f***ing genius footballer.

We've had - many years ago - some cracking players at Sunderland, but I enjoyed McGeady's performance as much as Kieron Brady's in the 4-3 win vs. West Ham in 1990. I know it's L1 and McGeady is past his best, but it was so much fun watching him yesterday. It was like watching someone's dad teasing his bairns with the ball in the park at times. The Doncaster right back (Brad Halliday) will be having nightmares for years to come.

He was fabulous yesterday.. That young full back got taught a lesson... MOTM for me.. We are waxing lyrical about his performance yesterday and rightly so but the fact is we are a better team with him in it.. He might not produce it every game but imo he is still our biggest threat apart from our mate Charlie....

" It's time for people to admit they were wrong." Sorry, not the culture on this increasingly ignorant and unpleasant site

Just casual glances at several forums (fora) of recent opponents show how much respect they have for Geads.
Seems supporters of other clubs appreciate him more than some of our support.

2nd in the League One assists table. He’s played 12 games. Honeyman in 1st has played 26 games; Dembele in 3rd has played 24. Only 3 other players out of the 25 in the list have played fewer than 20 games. Jake Sims with 6 assists in 13 games is the only player that comes anywhere near close to McGeady’s record.

Parkinson must be feeling a little silly right now!
