His first half double rinse that left the two Donny lads standing and the subsequent defence splitting ball through to Gooch is my favourite passage of play I've seen from us all season.
The pass to Gooch was superb.

Any manager with an ounce of ambition was going to bring him back into the team. And some people wouldn't play him
And some people wouldn't play him
Criminal Gooch wasted it. The Keystone Cops Doncaster players he flummoxed in the middle of the park were priceless. I thought they were going to go off they looked that confused by him.The pass to Gooch was superb.
@Doberman said he was his most hated player in 15 years. Humble pie must be choking him and Dull Phil Parkinson.Daft, isn’t it. He’s our most talented player, and there’s a reason why a lot of our play goes through him.

His effort, skill and contribution to the team was outstanding today and is rarely poor, aye he can frustrate, usually when he is frustrated by those around him, but our general attacking play has been much better with him in the side. We have shot ourselves in the foot much more than teams have dominated us. McGeady has given us a chance which with Parky was never going to happen. The rest of the team need to up their game to fit with McGeady and Wyke. The manager needs to stop spouting shite and I hope he now knows that Matthews and Vokins are a waste of space.
Him and Wyke probably get the most grief on here outside of our goalkeepers.
Without the two of them we'd be relegation candidates
Exactly mate. And some people wouldn't play him
This might the important take from yesterday for me. I do hope LJ uses it regularly now. That said the 4-2-4 formation with him and leadbitter in the team was always going to see us exposed so can understand the concerns some people had. That doesn’t mean you drop him though. You have to find a system that gets the best out of your best players. This is it.
Some were adamant he slowed down play...
No other player in our squad can deliver like he’s delivered today. He’s a quality league one player. Are there cons to his game and playing style, of course, that’s why he’s plying his trade with us in league one, but fans need to remember what he does bring to the table. Pleased we have him and it was absolutely disgusted what Parkinson did to the lad, but yet again, many fans lapping up the rubbish rumours and refusing to believe there are two sides to any story. Gullible as.
Will become an even more marked man now.
The question is can he maintain it week in week out ?

i would have sold or loaned him out in the start of the season, love how much i am proved wrong. He is a joy to watch when he plays like he did yesterday Elastico like ronaldinho gotta love it.And some people wouldn't play him
Can’t believe Parkinson didn’t play him for a year! What a f***ing chopper
The greatest trick Parkinson ever pulled was convincing a section of supporters McGeady was a disgrace.
Fair comment. I suppose it is more a frustration that we are the experimental environment for Premier League clubs now. He has looked lost in the position he plays in and both he and MacFadzean have made mistakes that have cost us. Most games we have dropped points have been due to our errors rather than the brilliance of our opponents. If we stand any chance of promotion we need to try and iron out these blips.I suppose nows the time for penance.
I was one of those who backed the decision to bin him. Thought he held the ball too long, didn’t run enough and hindered Hume somewhat.
I was wrong, I’m sorry. His ability has won out.
Please try and keep this up if you’re reading Aiden, I know some of you lurk here...
Harsh on Vokins I think, young lad and definitely has ability. Probably similar to how we thought of Hume when he first played men’s football
