McGeady

In this exciting new drama, Steve Guttenberg plays McGeady, a former sportsman who is now a private eye based in downtown Boston (Massachusetts not Lincs). Unlike many PIs, who usea network of humans to assist in their enquiries, Mcgeady only uses animals. These include his glamorous secretary, Perkins the black and white cat, Squidgey the ferret, his eyes and ears on the mean streets of Boston, Gemima, the bichon frise, Boston's only canine lawyer, Muggboots, the cheeky monkey, his underworld contact, Bobo the elephant, his prime source with regard to the goings on in Boston Zoo, Officer Derek Myers the horse, his police insider and Duncan the bald eagle, his eyes in the sky.

So what your saying is that he is getting the best our of them, they're just shit?

I feel a bit sorry for Grayson mind who must have thought all of his horses had come in at once when he was offered the job before he realised what the job entailed and t became to much for him. I've the impression that Coleman might be a bit stronger though sowno may hopefully our last the useless tossers he inherited as players.
No I’m saying we are shit and Coleman as of yet hasn’t improved what we have which as manager is his job.

Was it? I see to remember most said honeyman. No problem with Coleman I’m just pointing out that McGeady has went backwards since he came in and that we are currently going backwards. Not really sure either points can be disputed really.
He's performing as he was in the back end of Graysons reign. He's performing as he has throughout his career. We're currently performing like we have all season other than at the beginning of Graysons and Coleman's spells. So it can be disputed and the figures back it up.

We have gone from 22nd to 24th under Coleman and have just been humiliated at Cardiff. We are going backwards.

He’s scored some key goals this season and, more importantly, created a lot of chances.

Unfortunately a winger doesn’t fit into a wing-back system, unless you are brave and play attacking players rather than full-backs in those positions.

The trouble is the likes of Jones and Love are not getting as far forward and, when they do, their crosses are poor.

It’s hard to see where McGeady fits in, maybe as a roving inside forward. He needs to get fit first though. We are so short of attacking-minded players, it will be good to have him back in contention.

We've gained as many points in less games under him. That's a fact.
And went from 22nd to 24th that’s also a fact. His job is to keep us up and so far he’s failing and not only that taking us backwards. He doesn’t have much to work with but this wing back carry on just isn’t working when have blokes like billy jones and Donald love playing in them roles.

If we'd continued as we were before he took over based on the form under Grayson we'd have less points. He has had very little to work with recently due to injuries and Graysons signings being shite and some not wanting to be here.
As for the system he plays its looked OK(ish) when Oviedo and Matthews have played as wing backs. Love and especially Jones simply can't play the role.

Probably true, aye. I think it could and probably should work better with Ovideo and Matthews as wing backs.
Maybe. Only thing is every time Bryan's in we seem to lose in spectacular fashion.

re: topic: don't think McGeady's very good. Didn't want him, but would start him this match, if he isn't in the feign crew like half of them

He's a strange player like. He can look real quality in games and absolutely pathetic shortly after.

He has actually brought us the square root of fuck all and currently we have a weaker squad.
Time for Mr Coleman to step up and do what he is paid for as he has done no better than Grayson so far

I originally thought he’d turn out like he has. I said I was wrong about him whilst he was playing well but I fear he has shown now why he’s never reached the heights he probably should have. A bit lazy tbh

The system looks ok? We are providing absolutely no goal threat whatsoever. We have barely had a shot on goal in some games.
Grayson had about 3 million to spend, what were you expecting? Coleman is hardly having a fantastic transfer window at present working under similar limitations.

His club managerial record stinks and he’s got it all to prove. His record with Wales in games when Bale hasn’t played played is poor too.
He keeps us up he’s fantastic, he takes us down it’s all previous manager and Ellis Shorts fault. He can’t lose and is fast becoming our version of Rafa.

Ok(ish)

I get it you don't like or rate Coleman.

Or indeed any Sunderland manager.
On Coleman's back very early. We all no he's made mistakes and will make more. His stance regarding Coleman/McGeady is rather baffling imo. He's had a career of inconsistency, we even seen it under Grayson, and he thinks Coleman should be doing what countless managers before him have failed to do.

It’s ridiculous, half of his posts are wind ups.

Of people can't see improvement under Coleman then there really is no hope for them.

He's accumulated as many points in half the games as Grayson achieved.

Yes we're not scoring as many, but you seen how that worked out for us under Grayson.

End of the day our points per game have improved, it's just been our luck that Burton, Bolton etc go on a ridiculous run. It has however sucked in a lot more teams.
