McCann Doc coming to Netflix

Your post was deleted for repetition because you had quoted one of Football Fan's potentially libellous posts.

The link to the Telegraph article referred to a 2013 Sunday Times article which had accused the McCanns of withholding crucial evidence.

The McCanns sued the Sunday Times for libel, the case was found in their favour and they were awarded substantial damages.

I repeat, the risk is relatively small but I wish some members would think twice, or at least do a little research, before posting stuff that could get both them and the board into bother.

Totally agree with you and I now take your point about quoting posts, won't do that again, thanks for explaining.

Are you saying me linking to an existing article in the Telegraph is libellous?

I would think if the McCanns are so litigious they'd have that down in a split second with Carter Ruck after them if so.

There re some basic facts that are in the public domain, the Times splashed a front page and went after them.

Have I missed something or aren’t most comments against the McCann’s mostly against their negligence?

As I say, I might have missed something.

People go on like they deserved what they got because they made that mistake.

Its not just this board, I find the comments in the public towards them so bad, considering there is absolutely no evidence against them in the slightest. Not one bit.

There is an abundance of evidence that what occurred was a tragic event. If you cant see that you are simply deleuded, as your previous posts make clear anyway tbf.

There is absolutely no evidence at all, hence why they have never charged with anything and never will be.

Hold back police, "FootballFan" from the SMB has this one cracked.

You can't name one bit of evidence, I await your smoking gun. But if I was you I wouldn't post it.

All existing evidence points to the fact she died in the apartment, numerous crime experts and the detective in charge of the case are in agreement.

So I dont need any smoking gun, its all there in the open for anybody to examine.

If you have an alternative theory I'll be glad to hear it.

You linked to an article in the Daily Telegraph in support of your assertion which I shall not repeat here for obvious reasons.

The DT article referred to subject matter in the Sunday Times that was subsequently found to be libellous.

As I've already stated on this thread, repeating stuff that is already in the public domain is no defence.

By doing so you put yourself and the board at risk and in this sort of situation moderators will always adopt a safety first approach.

No it doesn’t

There’s no evidence that suggests that

I’m asking for one bit of evidence mate

There is not a single piece of probative evidence linking the parents to the disappearance of the girl.

Don't worry yourself man. The body will be found eventually and they'll rightly go to prison for the rest of their lives.

Or you're completely wrong.

Your previous statement referred to somebody (not me) quoting social media posts, and you specifically referenced Social Media yourself in your post. I quite agreed with what you said.

Are you now saying we cannot quote newspaper articles negative to the McCanns either?

Been going on for years now. Irony of FF having a fictional detective as his avatar when he gave the head honcho such kudos, old Amaral, the perjurer. Nice to see Heed back but he's as obsessed as ever...

What an accolade. To be mistaken for such a fine poster such as Heed.

If you're reading this Heed. I've made it!

f***ing hate negligent parents.

Looks like not everyone shares that view mate.

Selfish pricks. Don't have kids if you still wanna act the piss head.

The DNA evidence doesn't point towards that at all. It's inconclusive and 50% of it could have been anyone in the world.

Back on topic, total guess work, but here’s my theory.

Kid gets up in night, place is empty, wonders outside and comes to harm. Be that falling down a well, hit by a drunk driver etc. (Awful BTW not down playing it)

Tapas crew perhaps haven’t kept as watchful an eye as made out, so hence the sketchy behaviour, which brings suspicion. Parents do all they can to atone for their error, pulling in all the media, the world tour etc etc. Although given the opportunity I suspect most parents would do anything they thought would help regardless of how others might judge them.

Very sad and very tragic. Unfortunately we will likely never know what really happened.

Delete of libellous.

For what it's worth that's the scenario I've worked along all the time.. as you say nobody knows

Certainly a lot more plausible than the theory postulated by the Parents and their friends.

One thing I couldn't get my head around in all these trips to check on the kids. Why did the maccans or others not check on the other kids in the group?the transcripts and time lines never say anything about Gerry or Kate returning the favor. Strange. Almost as if it was all made up.
