Mayenda injured in his first training session

Just it's the same as what Blackburn fans came on here and posted about.
It's a worry but in his last season he was complaining about how difficult it was to rotate because he had a small squad (he also used a lot of academy players, which I'm sure is what attracted our ownership to him).
If small squad/unable to rotate is the problem (as I suspect) our incomings this year and the emergence of players like Ekwah and BA as starters should hopefully see us with less repeating injuries.

daint think mayenda will be in many squads this season like very much one for the future probs bounce between u21s fixtures and first team. slowly integrated

I sort of get ya point, however it's club football that keeps international football afloat, without the club superstars it would mean very little IMO. At international level players travel alot and rest very little and get (in comparison very little monetary reward for it) Tournaments are getting bigger with more games over longer periods of time. When will players get the chance to rest...
I know what you are getting at but it’s not strictly true. Although players don’t get paid that much by the FA for each game they play, the value to their wealth of being an international is vastly underplayed. How many sponsorship and endorsement deals do you think Harry Kane got as a result of being a Spurs player versus being England captain? What about Jude Bellingham - how much money will he make in sponsorship and endorsements by being the new star of English football (and he doesn’t even play in England)? Does Peter Shilton still get work because he once played for Nottingham Forest or because he played 100 times for England? The image rights of footballers are much, much more valuable when they play international football for England.

Yet none of them would have never played for England without first playing high level club football...

Depends what you mean by high level club football. Premier League yes, but many players play for England for smaller PL clubs first, and it accelerates their transition to the likes of City, Chelsea, Real Madrid, etc. Again, look at Jude Bellingham - was it his performances for Birmingham / Dortmund that got Madrid paying >£100m or was it his performances as a teenager in a World Cup that rocketed his price up. Personally, my view is that successful league structures go hand in hand with successful international set ups - you need one to have the other.

Judging that our fit strikers have barely started any games other than Burstow, we might not see this lad until 2024!
That’s what I’m thinking. Injured since the end of July, it’s now nearly November and it’ll take a long time to get up to speed and that’s providing their are no setbacks

Rusyn is coming up to 25 yrs old and can't be trusted to start. He's a foward, just point to which goal you want him to shoot at and let him get on with it.
Exactly mate. Ukraine who are above Italy in our group, have him in their squad yet our Tone’s tactics have him baffled?
