Mayenda injured in his first training session

Steve Bruce used to get blamed for the amount of injuries we had under him, why isn't Mowbray and his staff not being questioned about this? Especially since he also had problems with injuries to his players at Blackburn.
Do you not think we have medical staff at the club for players/ new signings who access the players fitness/ body before setting one foot on the grass. To blame the manager for him getting injured in training is absolutely crackers, have a look on social media and the clubs website for players who have signed being in videos being assessed by the clubs staff, or do you think Tony met him off the plane and drove him straight to training  here is an example

Got to be training then, if he has a history with blackburn also.

So your suggesting that we don't take his previous history at blackburn into account, this being the head coach, and that was well know for having his favorites, and overplaying them, the head coach that had blackburn 2nd and they finished, 8th, this maybe the reason why.

I'm saying that to blame the manager for the lad getting injured in a training session a couple of days after signing for us is crazy. How many new signings have we had that have been injured in their first week?, the lad has just been unlucky or has been trying too hard, you can't blame Mowbray for that.

i am suggesting that we take training into account, given the amount of injurys we get, i am saying, that we take the longer term view, and ask ourselves is the training apart of the reason why our players seem to drop like flys. or is it medical or other.

At what point are we going to start asking questions about what the fuck is going on in training? Barely a day goes by without someone getting an injury at training. It’s beyond ridiculous.
Like who? Who’s been injured in training?

There were all the significant ones last season

Evans - match
Stewart - match on both occasions
Simms - match
Alese - match both occasions
Cirkin - match
Ballard - match both ocassions
Gooch - match
Batth - match

The lad had hardly trained with the team, I get it you are looking for somebody to blame because the lad got an injury that could have happened at anytime. The vast majority of our injured players last season got their injuries whilst on the pitch, not in training and a lot of those injuries were down to contact injuries with other players. One of the reasons we also struggled last season when players did get injured was because of the lack of depth in certain areas in the squad and the management team having to bring back players who had been injured, that in an ideal world, might have needed a few more weeks recovering.

It's the latest in a long lost of injuries. We used circa 28 players last season, can't have settled side if players are dropping like flies. Club need to sort conditioning etc out or we'll see same issues next season.
Injuries have all happened in matches. Broken legs, concussion, acl’s, Achilles, broken foot, broken toes, knee injuries on impact. Has nowt to do with conditioning.

Haven’t read thread so if points been made already sorry but i understand one of his attributes is his pace and pace and dodgy hamstrings are not good bedfellows, just ask Michael Owen, not good news at all

Whilst the majority have been during a match when it comes to how frequently it’s happening it does seem there’s another factor in it rather than just bad luck. Being over worked in training is certainly something I’ve been thinking of for a while.
